Birthday’s over the years have tend to be something I dread, mainly because the thought of getting older slightly terrifies me, my life is going so quickly that I don’t seem to be able to keep up. I still have so many things that I want to do before I turn 30 and I am beyond excited for the years that are to come but I’ve decided that this year I am going to make the most of everything and have a different outlook on my birthday and think of it as a fresh start.
I’ve got to admit my 25th year has been kind to me in some respects but not so much in others. With some loss, some difficulties, some personal struggles, I’ve managed to come out the other side. But it hasn’t been all doom and gloom. This past year I have met some incredible people, I’ve learned exactly who I can trust, I’ve made some incredible memories with the people I love the most, and I have got so much to look forward to over the next year.
In my 26th year of roaming this earth and complaining that I am hungry all of the time, I want to have a fresh start and a more positive outlook.
Putting My Happiness First
This is something that I’m really not that good at to be quite honest, I always worry about others first, what they think, what they are doing and how it will have an impact upon them. I’m still not great at saying no, but I have been working on this for some time, and I’m still not the greatest but I want to make sure that if it is too much that I am doing what is best for me.
Working On My Anxiety
My anxiety has had me in such a difficult place lately, but I’m working on my anxiety and improving my overall mental state. I hope that one day I won’t have to wake up in the morning and it feel the shear panic I do on the inside for no reason. I can’t even put my finger on what is causing it at the moment but I’m doing what I can to figure it out and get me back to where I need to be.
To Stress Or Not To Stress..
I’ve also talked lately about being a massive stress head, I mean I am and I always have been. I am doing what I can at the moment to be able to turn off when I get home from work, which is something I really need to work on. In my 26th year, I am definitely going to try and stress a little less at home, work is slightly different, but I love my job so much, I’m just not letting the stress get to me because when I do, I can’t get everything that I to get done, completed.
Enjoy The People Around Me
If you have seen my other posts you will have known that I have taken a bit of a break from social media but I am just doing what makes me happy. I’m making more of an effort to make memories with the people that I love, take all the photos and document absolutely everything!
So here is to year 26, I am hopeful that this year will be kind and I will continue to get closer and closer to my goals, to my dreams and where I want to be with my life.

I can relate to this SO MUCH. I’m 27 next week and this last year has been tough. But the last month has been one of the best months I’ve had in a long time so I’m feeling positive about my 27th year!
I love your positive outlook for your new chapter. I found myself nodding along to all of them.

I am really trying to control my stress and anxiety this year too xx
I totally know what you feel and it is a scary and overwhelming feeling at times, but I think if you keep nurturing the self and follow your intuition, great things will happen. May the 26th bring you all the strength and clarity of mind for your path on earth 🙂

I turned 27 a couple of weeks ago and I was dreading it!
I’m so glad this year is dedicated to loving and nurturing yourself – you’re strong as heck and deserve all of the peace and joy!
I think those are such good things to want to do or change! 🙂

Happy belated birthday!
I hope that 26 is kind to you and you are kind to yourself.
Caring what others think is hard at first but eventually becomes easier as time passes.
What I always say is that my happiness and health always comes first no matter what! If a job is toxic, I’ll do whatever I can to leave and get to a happier place (I know this is not plausible for everyone but just an example)
definitely relate to this! time feels like it is flying by, but by taking time to enjoy the people & experiences around you will be the best way of spending your 26th year – fab to go in with a positive outlook & see where the year takes you, I’m a strong believer of everything happens for a reason!! ❤
This is such a lovely post to read! I feel that with each passing birthday I do better at being myself and looking after myself and it sounds like you’re on the path to doing the same!
