Find the best vegan and cruelty free moisturisers for your skin! From high end moisturisers to budget friendly there is something for everyone. I have combination skin, so finding moisturisers that are hydrating, but also don’t increase oil production is incredibly important to me.
In this post you will find my current favourite moisturisers that are always on rotation, including ones that will fit your budget too!

Temple Spa Be Still Settling Moisturiser *
I’ve spoken a lot about Temple Spa and I feel like they’re products are absolutely incredible. This moisturiser is rich, but not heavy on the skin.
When my skin is more sensitive or my eczema is flaring up, then I will use this moisturiser because it gives my skin:
- the moisture it needs
- the calming effect on my skin
- and doesn’t aggravate my skin.
This moisturiser is £40, which is pricy, however, there are sets you can sometimes purchase. Don’t forget that with this product a little goes a long way.

Dermalogica Clear Start Cooling Aqua Jelly*
I’ve talked a lot about this moisturiser and Dermalogica in general. This moisturiser is perfect for oily and combination skin.
The way is melts into the skin is honestly incredible. It is:
- light
- non-greasy
- absorbs quickly
- controls oil
- leaves face looking glowy without being greasy.
This moisturiser is £22, and to be honest I adore it. This works really well under make up and also helps to control shine. If I wear this on it’s own, it really helps to keep my skin looking healthy and hydrated.

Carbon Theory Breakout Control Moisturiser
This is perfect for when you’ve got breakouts that you want to help get rid of. Not only is this product great for spot prone skin it will:
- reduce redness
- the look of spots
- leaves your skin feeling refreshed.
I’ve got to admit though it does leave my skin with a tingling sensation after applying. I don’t use this one when my eczema flairs up, but it is perfect for those hormonal monthly breakouts when your period arrives.
This moisturiser is £13, and in my opinion definitely worth the money.

E.L.F Holy Hydration Face Cream
Now I have the old packaging mainly because I got a few when it was 3 for 2 in Boots, so I’m still working through my backlog. They have renamed from Hello Hydration to Holy Hydration.
I love E.L.F skincare, and rave about them on a regular basis. This moisturiser is fragrance free so perfect for sensitive skin. It is perfect for under make up, doesn’t pill up or budge and leaves your skin hydrated, soft and nourished.
It also doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy and also helps any breakouts. I do have combination skin so this product really fits the bill when I need hydration on my cheeks but need oil control on my t-zone.
This one is slightly more pricy, but for £14 it is a holy grail for me.
E.L.F Superhydrate
This moisturiser is really light on the skin, and one of the reasons I like it is because it gives your skin this tacky feeling. This is perfect for under make up and plumps the skin before you put your primer on.
If you’re looking for a gel moisturiser then you will love this one. It is so nice on the skin and melts easily into the skin. I leave mine in the fridge especially during the warmer months and it gives that added cooling sensation.
This moisturiser is only £8, and I feel like for this price, you cannot go wrong.

Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturiser
This moisturiser has been such a holy grail for me lately. I did a full dedicated post about this moisturiser recently because I felt it was 100% necessary. I really enjoy Ole Henriksen as a brand, and been trying a lot of their products because they do have lots that are vegan friendly.
I have really large pores, especially around my t-zone and using this moisturiser has helped me so much.
After using this moisturiser I’ve noticed:
- my pores are smaller
- surface oil is more controlled
- skin looks smoother
- skin feels refreshed.
This is a more expensive moisturiser is £36, but I truly believe it is worth it.

I haven’t used any vegan mosturizer but it sounds like you have some fantastic ones here. I’ll check them out. xx
I love ELF skincare! I have both of those moisturizers, except I have the new super hydration one with SPF. They also recently came out with a new skincare line and I’m excited to see how those work as well. Thank you for sharing! x

The Ole Henriksen one sounds AMAZINGGGGG but I’m not sure I could spend that much. I’ve seen a lot of food things about it though!
I’ve seen you talk about ELF a few times and it’s definitely one I’m interested in giving a go. For that price as well, I feel like it’s certainly worth a shot. Great reviews here – definitely the kind of info I needed!
Thanks for these suggestions. I have some moisturizers I love at the moment (Superdrug own brand – a WIN!) but I’m always looking for new ones x
I love your selection and I will be trying the Ole Henrikson one as I have problems with open pores and this sounds perfect for me, thanks for sharing.
I’m a big fan of gel moisturisers so the Elf one sounds ideal, although I have to say I’m very tempted by the Ole Henriksen one as well, it sounds amazing!
I am going to have to try some of these out!

The Temple Spa Be Still Settling Moisturiser is dreaaaamy, leaves my skin so soft and gorgeous!
I love Elf Holy Hydration so much! I reacted to the Ole Henrikson one which was a big shock as I can usually use anything.
I have read such good things about Elf products, I have a couple of their skincare products to try so I must dig those out soon.
