5 Products To Try From Dermalogica Clear Start Range

How to battle ‘maskne’ with Dermalogica Skincare and why you need to try their Clear Start range. Having oily, combination and spot prone skin can be difficult, however, I’ve been making skincare a priority, especially during the lockdown period and working from home. Dermalogica have a whole skincare range that is devoted to blemish prone skin and I’ve been testing it out for a significant amount of time, so I have all the tea on this range.

Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash

This face wash has honestly become a holy grail product, I get very spot prone skin, and especially with wearing a mask a lot lately, I’ve been struggling to keep those spots at bay on my chin and on my cheeks. Using this twice a day and massaging it into my skin, I honestly feel like this has worked wonders. This is the kind of cleanser that feels so luxurious on the skin, it creates an incredible lather that leaves your face feeling incredible.

One thing that should be noted about this face wash is that it also doesn’t strip your skin, it just leave your skin feeling cleaner than ever! I notice that when I use this regularly, I get less spots, any spots that I do have are less red and angry, and my face doesn’t seem to get as oily as it normally would.

Dermalogica Clear Start Flashfoliant

This has been a brand new type of exfoliant for me, mainly because it is one that you leave on the skin and just layer your other products on top. The best thing I’ve noticed about this product is how much it evens out my skin tone and removes any dead skin cells. After I use this product, I always notice that my make up applies much better when I have previously used this product in my skincare routine.

This is very easy to use, you apply it to your cleansed face and allow it to to absorb into the skin. It has helped to combat my redness, spots that are on my skin, and make your skin look smoother and feel softer. The texture is very interesting at first because it could potentially be mistaken for a face wash, however once you get started, you really start to see and feel the benefits of the product.

Dermalogica Clear Start Clearing Defense Moisturiser

This has been one of my go to moisturisers for over a year, and if you’re the kind of person that gets oily skin, then this product will become your best friend. It hydrates your skin, while also mattifying it. When I originally saw that it was mattifying, I thought it would dry my skin out to keep the oil under control, however, it didn’t and it left my face feeling nourished and hydrated without adding extra oil.

The one thing I love about this moisturiser is how lightweight it is on the skin, and how nourishing it is without clogging your pores. It also tones down redness that I’ve had, and also evens out my skin tone, which  is another major benefit of this product. I’ve used this product for so long and recommend it to everyone. This also works perfectly under make up and doesn’t bunch up underneath primer.

Dermalogica Clear Start Hydrating Lotion

Another moisturiser that I’ve been using for a while, and I tend to use this on the drier areas of my skin. Having combination skin means that sometimes I need something with extra hydration in certain areas, so I tend to get a very dry forehead when the weather is changing, so I’ve been adding this moisturiser to my forehead to help with it and it works wonders. It smooths a lot of my dry skin that can also get breakouts, but also eases any discomfort that I may be feeling on my forehead, especially when it gets very dry.

Again another benefit of this moisturiser is that it is very lightweight on the skin, how quickly it absorbs into the skin and how comfortable it feels when you apply it. The one thing I love about it is that it gives a natural glow without leaving a heavy residue on the skin.

Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster

The final product that I absolutely love and rave about constantly is the breakout clearing booster. I have gone through 3 tubes of this stuff and will never not love it. The gel works wonders on any blemish that you may have as soon as you apply it, you can feel it getting to work on your blemish, and reducing the redness that you may have, and even calming down painful and angry spots. I had a very painful one on my chin recently due to wearing my mask, I applied this in the evening and by the time I woke up in the morning, the redness had reduced, the spot looked smaller and it wasn’t painful anymore.

If you do get very painful spot prone skin, this needs to be added to your product list, because it really will help your spots.

These are all the products you need to try from Dermalogica Clear start and why you need to add them to your skincare routine.

Have you tried them? Do you want to try them? What are your recommendations? Let me know in the comments.
