Trying Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturizer

Ole Henriksen recently bought out their new Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturizer, and as soon as I saw pore remedy, I was sold. As someone who has combination skin, with large pores, I will definitely buy into products that claim to help my pores and control my combination skin.

The Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturizer is specifically formulated for oily and combination skin and gives your skin the refresh that it needs under make up or after a long day.

About the product

The moisturiser itself is a mint green colour and very lightweight on the skin. It does similar to the consistency of their C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme that I’ve featured previously, but it does feel a little thicker. Remember that a little of this goes such a long way.

Even though it feels like a thicker moisturiser, it doesn’t feel like it will clog your pores. That is very important to me because of my oily, combination and spot prone skin. I love the way that this product just melts into my skin.

I especially love the cooling effect of the moisturiser with a light minty fragrance. As you apply it and massage it into the skin, it cools your skin down, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. It is literally like a pamper session in a pot.

I’ve tried this a lot under make up and on it’s own, and I’ve noticed a lot of things I love about it, so what are the benefits of using this on your skin?

  • makes your pores look smaller
  • helps to control surface oil
  • smooths the skin
  • leaves your skin feeling refreshed.

Even under make up, I notice that my pores look smaller. I use it on it’s own and it leaves my skin looking glowy, but not oily, and refreshed.

Final thoughts

This moisturiser has become one of my favourites, and works wonders on my large pores. Every time I use this product I feel like my skin is:

  • brighter
  • refreshed
  • hydrated
  • soft.

Any blemishes that I’m having, especially some hormonal breakouts feel like they’ve been reduced and pores are smaller. The moisturiser itself is £36, however, as someone who has been using this for a while, I can definitely say it is worth the money.

The product goes such a long way, I can use the smallest amount and moisturise my entire face! Once I’ve applied this to my skin, I can apply my SPF, and not have to wait too long.

You can pick this moisturiser up in Boots.
