Your 101 Guide To Dermalogica Skincare*

Contains PR samples

I’ve talked a lot about Dermalogica skincare, I’ve talked about their products, how amazing they are and how their products have definitely revolutionised my skincare routine in so many ways. Not only that I’ve managed to learn so much about my skin by using their products. So here is your 101 guide to Dermalogica skincare, the products you need to try, the products to invest in and my thoughts on them all. I’d grab a cuppa and a snack because this will be long…

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel*

This gel is honestly so amazing, I’ve been using it for so long and I love how light it feels on the skin, I’m definitely not one for heavier cleansers because I have such spot prone skin, I worry that it will cause me to break out even more. I also have combination skin, something which is genuinely a massive pain in the backside, but using this cleanser is wonderful, because even when my skin is more on the dry side, it doesn’t feel like it dries my skin out at all. My skin feels nourished, cleansed and happier.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant*

I love something that is genuinely going to leave my skin feeling super soft, and glowing. It is one of those products that is so gentle on the skin, you don’t need a lot of it and it gives your skin the wake up and glow it needs. After using this every other day I notice a massive difference in the way my make up applies and also how my skin feels, it feels softer and my make up looks even more flawless than before. I also get a lot of texture on my face, it’s genuinely a massive pain, but this product has helped me combat all of that.

Dermalogica Blackhead Clearing Face Mask*

We all know I love a good mask, it is the TLC your skincare routine needs sometimes. I’ve been using this for a while and I genuinely love it so much. I love the way that it feels on my skin when I put it on and not only that I love that I can feel it working on my face! I use this especially on my spots and my T-Zone because I’m more prone to them then, however I do notice some immediate results after using it, my pores looked smaller and I could really see a difference I my spots and how they looked.

Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster*

This product has been one of my go to products. When I have a break out my skin literally goes all out, they can be really sore and painful, so putting make up over them is just not possible sometimes. So just putting a little dab of this product over the top works like an absolute treat. After a while I notice that the spots look less red than they had done, and with continued use the spots go really quickly. It doesn’t dry your skin out either, that is something that I need to note, it just helps to shrink your spots and really does make them less painful to deal with.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect*

Another really amazing product that I have loved using. I have been using this under my make up when I want a lighter make up day because in the summer I much prefer lighter make up days and I love that this has a little SPF in it. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, it feels super lightweight and blends like an absolute dream. I tend to put a little BB cream over the top and set it in place with a little powder and then I am good to go! If you’re looking for a product that is really hydrating and you want to give you skin a little more of a natural glow from within then this product is right up your street!

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner*

A good toner definitely goes such a long way with skincare, I love the one firstly for the scent, it literally has that amazing clean smell (yep I’m a sucker for a good scent) but I mainly love it for what it does for my skin. It absorbs so quickly into the skin leaving it feeling hydrated and really soft. I’ve also noticed a massive difference in how bright and glowing my skin looks just in general, even without make up!

Dermalogica Clear Start Mattifying Moisturiser*

If you are the kind of person that struggles with spot prone or blemish prone skin, then this product will be amazing for you. I’ve been using this so much lately and it has been one of my go to moisturisers. I have had a bit of a breakout on my chin lately and this has really helped to make the spots look and feel a lot less angry and painful. It is another product that is really light on the skin, doesn’t feel like it is clogging your pores and leaves your skin feeling really hydrated.

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon*

I love the scent of this product, it has this amazing lavender scent that is super soothing when you’re trying to sleep at night. If you’re someone that struggles to dose off at night I’ve noticed that this product really does help me. I add a little bit at night and as soon as I wake up in the morning my skin feels healthy and recharged. One thing to note is you don’t need a lot to cover your entire face. I feel like this is quite a hydrating product and leaves your skin feeling really smooth.

Dermalogica Pre Cleanse*

This is the first product I go to when I get home from work, to take of my make up and oh my gosh it is so soothing. It literally melts my make up off leaving my skin underneath feeling really fresh and is the perfect product to start my evening skincare routine with. You definitely don’t need a lot, I literally just put a small amount all over my face, get a flannel and take all the make up off. It is such an easy product to use and I never have any make up left on my face after I’ve used this product.

Dermalogica Oil Free Matte Lotion*

I always use this under my make up because I love that it has SPF in it and when my skin is especially oily I find it gives my T-Zone the extra support it really does need to be honest. It controls so much of the oil on my face and does help me with my break outs. It has such a non greasy feel to it and it is definitely one of my go to moisturisers especially for the t-zone area. I’ve also mixed it with my foundation and it gives your skin a wonderful glow and makes your foundation last a lot longer!

So that is the end of my guide! I hope that helps if you would like to invest in their products, do go and check them out, they’re so worth it!

Let me know if you have ever tried any of these products!

I love their Daily Microfoliant – and their SPF products too x

  • I’ve got the Ultra Calming Mist which I really like, but I haven’t tried anything else from the range. The multi-active toner sounds great, always love some extra hydration so might look into that!

I used the Clear Start line as a very young teen and it was one of the very first things that got me into skin care, so I have super fond memories of it 🙂 I can still smell the moisturiser in my mind!
