20 Random Acts Of Kindness We All Need To Do More Of

When it comes to the weekends, I genuinely spend my weekend having coffee dates with my husband, drinking so many oat lattes and trying to be more of a people person. A couple of weekends ago, I was buying coffee for my husband and I and I was genuinely just being nice to a lady in front of me, as I was getting sugar from the counter (I always need a little sugar in my coffee) and as I was in the way, I asked if they also wanted some and they seemed shocked that I would even do that.

These small acts of kindness do not cost much, it is such a small thing in life and the fact that this lady was genuinely so shocked that I would do something like that for her, and it made me realise that there genuinely needs to be more kindness in this world.

So what are the smalls things that we can do to make this world a little bit kinder and just a nicer place to live?

  • Ask someone if they are okay, especially if they are slightly withdrawn.
  • Listen to someone, if they need to vent, let them have their moment to say everything they need to.
  • Give someone a compliment, it can genuinely make someone’s day
  • Support someone online, share their content, their creations, it could make the world of difference
  • Donate to charity, having a good clear out is good for the soul
  • Make someone feel appreciated, remind them they are doing a good job and their hard work is appreciated
  • Leave a kind message on social media, I always love seeing kind messages from others
  • Reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while
  • Help someone with chores around the house
  • Buy dinner for someone you love
  • Smile at strangers
  • Make coffee for someone you love
  • Buy a few items to put in the food bank trolley (I try to add a few items per time, including some basics like toothpaste, rice, pasta, vegan treats and gluten free items. Even if you have items that are in date in your cupboards but you aren’t going to eat them, put them in the food bank)
  • Help someone at work if they need the additional support, we are all so busy at work, if we can work as a team it always makes the environment a better place to be.
  • Let someone go ahead of you in a queue if they only have a couple of items and you have a trolley full
  • Smile at everyone you see
  • Make a playlist for someone who needs cheering up
  • Offer your time to someone who needs it
  • Spend time with your family
  • Surprise someone you love with their favourite food, or flowers

Now these things you don’t have to buy things for anyone, just giving someone your time, can honestly make the world of difference.

If you are able to buy things, that is amazing, but it honestly isn’t attainable for everyone, so if you can give a couple of moments of your time to listen to someone, help them, be there for them, it honestly makes the world a better place to live.

Lovely post. Thanks so much for sharing.

I think after recent events we all need to be so kind and mindful of each other. I always do my best to help out a stranger, close friend or relative when I can but there’s always more I could do I’m sure.

These small random acts are all so achievable and would do so much to help uplift each other.

I always smile at strangers. Sometimes people give me strange looks, but I smile anyway. Just smiling makes me feel happier and, hopefully, helps someone else smile back.
Since I meet many people serving food three days a week, I love to notice things about people and let them know I saw how patient they were with their child or how much I love the aboriginal pattern of their scarf.
It really does make a difference!

I try to do as many small acts of kindness as I can too.

Recently I gave a load of baby things for free to a new mum that wanted to buy some bits off me as she was a single mum so I thought I’d help as best as I could.

    Love Lozza xo

Showing random acts of kindness can really make someone’s day. A lady once commented on my makeup saying how much she liked it and also asked me where I got my foundation from and it really made me feel happy! X
