It is getting colder now, and during the colder months I always change up my skincare routine, mainly because my skin needs if I’m honest. Having combination skin is such a pain in the arse, but I’ve found a few products that genuinely work for my skin. I have had a few stress break outs lately, but these products really do help me and work well with my skin! So are you ready to find out more?
Tropic Skincare Smoothing Cleanser*
I’ve been using this for so long in combination with another one and I have loved using it. It is such a creamy cleanser that especially when my skin is so dry it doesn’t dry it out even more, or irritate the skin that is so dry. If you use it in combination with a gentle flannel it works absolute wonders. It has also really helped with my break out, I feel like it has helped to my spots on my chin without drying them out and making them angry.
Dermalogica Redness Relief Essence*
Like I have said, I’ve had some serious break outs lately, and I get a lot of redness on multiple places on my face, and since using this it has really helped the redness, especially around the spots. It is a really calming lotion on your face which I really enjoy and a little goes such a long way! It also works wonders if like me you have dry spots on your face and you need some extra help, if you also have really sensitive skin, this is so nice on the skin! Remember that a little goes such a long way.
Tropic Fruit Peel*
This I only use in the evening, and I actually fell in love with this product last year as a mini, so if you have textured skin, then this works absolute wonders. You can feel it working as soon as you put it on your skin and it really helps to get rid of that texture, but only use it in the evening and a little bit goes such a long way. The good thing with Tropic products is they smell absolutely incredible and leave your skin feeling so good afterwards! It is also really refreshing on your skin!

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
I’ve been using this for a while and honestly it is such a good serum! This product is so good if you have spot prone skin and works wonders on those problem areas, you don’t need a lot of the product and it is another of those products that you can feel working as soon as it hits your skin. It is a little sticky when you apply it to your skin, but it is such a good serum and it is a budget friendly product that works wonders!
Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster*
If you’re looking for a spot targeting product, then this is the one for you. This works so fast on your skin and takes down the redness and the size of the spot so fast that, and it is one of those investment products that I really enjoy. I use this product twice a day and notice the biggest difference, especially when it comes to redness. Like I said I have had one of my worst breakouts in a while recently, and I’ve been using this consistently and I am noticing the biggest difference.
Tropic Skincare Skin Feast*
This moisturiser is so luxurious, I mean oh my gosh it is incredible. It is such a rich moisturiser that gets deep down into your skin, if you’re the kind of person that has really dry skin, then this will be perfect for you. It also doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, it feels light and nourishes your skin. The good thing about this moisturiser is a little goes such a long way and it has so many amazing ingredients in it, if you’re looking for a moisturiser that has all of the good ingredients in it, then this is such a good product for you!
These are my products for keeping your skin happy during the colder months, have you tried these products? Let me know in the comments!

I don’t think many people realise that oily areas can become dehydrated too, so this was a really interesting post. I’m very intrigued by the Dermalogica products, I always read such good things about the brand, although I’m yet to try any. Now might be the time as I’ve got a couple of dry red patches that I’d love to tone down! x

I definitely need to make adjustments to my skincare routine during the colder months too. I am always reluctant to try other products out, as I have got a really good routine with homemade serums, and Lush products. I like the sound of th serum you use here though, so I may just have to check it out!
Thanks for sharing!

I need alllllll of these!! My skin has been dreadful lately especially on my forehead! It’s been breaking out like crazy and also been really dry. Think I’ll be trying these out to see how they suit me! The serum sounds interesting…never used one of those before!
Dermalogica is always good, thanks for sharing these as I have combination skin. x
Such a big fan of the Redness Relief Essenes, and I’ve been dying to try more of The Ordinary skincare range.. 😍
Winter is the worst for my skin! I have combo skin too and right now moisturizer is my best friend, but all of your products sounds so lovely to my face right now! I’m glad you’ve found a magic mix that keeps your face happy but doesn’t make it too oily or dry. Trying to find that perfect middle is difficult!
