Lately I want to make sure that I’m focusing on happiness, I don’t want to be feeling alone, being lost in this crazy world, I just want happiness! Mental health is the most difficult journey a person can ever go on, and I know we all have bad days (here are a couple of posts if you’re struggling Things I Do On A Bad Mental Health Day, Taking Time Out After A Bad Day) and they’re natural! During those bad days though we forget that there are small things that can make us feel a little brighter right now – but what are they?
I am so grateful for so many things in my life, and when I’m in a bad place I forget about all the things that I have in my life that keep me going. I know that isn’t as easy as it sounds, but taking time to look at what you do have in your life rather than what you don’t is so important. I talk here about 20 things I’m grateful for are they the same for you?
Try something new
I’m always wanting to try new things even learn new things, especially when it comes to challenging myself. Sometimes when my mental health is bad I don’t even want to get up and that actually hurts so much, but sometimes attempting to push through is one of the greatest things I can do. It reminds me that I am stronger than my mental health, I am more than my mental health and I can do this!
Listen to music
I’m the kind of person that when I’m in a bad place will always want to listen to Steps or S Club 7 because it’s the kind of songs you can sing and dance. It’s the kind of songs that put a smile on your face and a spring in your step!
Surround yourself with inspirational people
I spoke about this before on my blog (here if you fancy a quick read) because I think that as a community we have the opportunity to inspire people and help and support others. I’m really lucky because the people around me inspire me to keep going when things get tough and that is one of the best feelings!
Make a strong cuppa
I live on tea and coffee to be honest, I love caffeine (I also drink a lot of water too to be honest but I need caffeine) it helps me to get stuff done, but a cup of tea makes everything better, it can relax you and make you feel so much better because tea is the best.
Spread happiness with your loved ones
I love treating my loved ones, showing them how much I care, especially within the blogging community, even if it is a small blog comment to show that you have read their post it’s such a positive feeling that you’ve made them smile!
What are some of the things you do to make yourself happy now?
