It’s Christmas Eve, the big day is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited to spend some time with my family, eat all the good food & genuinely get into the Christmas Spirit! There is nothing that I adore more than getting in the festive spirit, but there are a lot of things I’m grateful for this time of year.
There is so much I am eternally grateful for at this time of year, it’s a magical year – so what am I honestly grateful for?
1. Christmas Music
Is there anything that better than Wizzard I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday playing and singing along? I’m a sucker for good Christmas music and having a playlist going is amazing, I’ve currently got Christmas songs for alarms at the moment, and it makes waking up a little bit easier!
2. Family
I’m lucky to have the best family in the world, they’re the people that pick me up when I need it the most, they keep me grounded when I literally wander around the world with my head in the clouds, and I’m so grateful for that. Not only that we had 2 gorgeous additions to our family this year, including our rabbit BB-8 in January and my beautiful niece arriving in August. It’s been an amazing year.
3. My Husband
I talk a lot about my husband, I talk a lot about how amazing he is, and to be honest, he is. He is the one person that when I have a mini meltdown over a picture, over the trivial things in life, he is the one that smooths everything over makes me see things clearly. He knows me better than anyone and Christmas is the time where we take funny photos and looks ridiculously cute with reindeer ears on.
4. Christmas Movies
Curling up with all the blankets with a massive hot chocolate watching It’s A Wonderful Life which is a massive tradition that I watch it every year!
5. The Food
There is nothing better than Christmas dinner. I mean I’m a sucker for a good brussel sprout with my dinner with some of my favourite vegetable gravy. Not only that it will be followed by leftovers for sandwiches later on in the evening. Safe to say the food is a massive highlight for me.
6. Giving Gifts
As much as I love gift giving, I love giving something extra special to the people I love! It’s the time of year to be grateful for the people around you, be a little generous, give them something special. It’s not about the monetary value, it’s the thought that goes into it all. You can make something and it can be the most special present in the world.
7. Cute Christmas Jumpers
I’ve got may a Christmas jumper, however Paul and I do matching ones every year – and it’s always a Star Wars theme. Even though they might be slightly tacky, it’s still one of my favourite things to do.
8. Time
A bit of an obscure one, but I’m eternally grateful for time. It gives me a chance to make memories with the people I love the most, even though it feels like life is racing by at 100 miles a minute and before we know it, it’s going to be New Years Eve 2019, but I’m grateful for making all the memories. This year has been a tough one, but there has been some beautiful moments in it too!
What are you grateful for this year?

Christmas food is some of my favourite food but I have to agree with you on time. We never know how much time we have with our loved ones so spending time with them and making lifetime memories is my favourite. 💜
