Why Kindness Is Everything In Life

We all think that it’s really simple to just be nice to someone right? It is one of those things that doesn’t even take much to do, and it is something that everyone seems to overlook sometimes. I have always said that no matter what, you always have a chance to be kind to others, you never know what is going on in someone else’s life.

Over the last few weeks, I know that kindness is something that has gone such a long way, and I don’t mean the big things. It’s the small things like asking if you’re okay.

So why is kindness everything?

Like I said above, you never know what is going on in someone else’s life, you don’t know what they might be battling, you don’t know how bad the day could be, so showing a little kindness and a little compassion can go such a long way – and everyone can be kind.

It doesn’t matter where you come from or what your background is, being kind is a suit that everyone can wear. Now I know what you’re thinking, what if I’m fighting the battle? Lately like I’ve said I’ve been in a tough place, but making time to be there for others, do nice things for others helps. It doesn’t solve everything, but for a few moments it helps.

When I say its the small things that make a massive difference they really do. For example I was out the other day, I was at the doctors surgery and someone was struggling to use the system to check in. At my doctors there is a computer and I have to admit it can be so difficult, the touch screen is always a bit of a pain but we carry on. I could see this guy was struggling, I asked him if he needed help. I helped show him how to get booked in and made sure he was okay.

In my opinion kindness is something that sticks with you, it’s when you see that someone is struggling, someone needs some help and you still take the time to help others. To check to make sure that they’re okay, listen to them if they need to talk, all those things make a massive difference.

I’m a firm believer in the “kindness attracts kindness” and the energy that you put out into the world you will get back, and to be honest there is so much negativity in the world, we all need a bit more kindness and positivity.

My Nan always used to tell me one thing, treat people the way you would want to be treated, treat people with kindness and it opens so many doors, you never know what could happen, you could meet your best friend just by being kind. The possibilities are endless.

Never underestimate the power of kindness, it’s infectious.

Loved this post! Sometimes I have my doubts that kindness attracts kindness because it feels like no matter what I do, it’s never any easier. Slowly realising that being nice for a day or so isn’t an instant cure-all to give up on! Hope you’re feeling better lovely x

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

Thank you so much my lovely. Kindness is never something to give up on my lovely, it makes the world go round! xxxx

  • Ruth says:

I couldn’t agree more! I wish there was more of it in the world, that’s for sure, but I believe sometimes, all you can do is your part, and hope that others follow your lead. Plus, like you said, being kind is rewarding for everyone – the reward of knowing you made someone feel good is wonderful.

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

Exactly, and kindness makes the world go round, not only that there needs to be more of it in the world! Little things make the world happier. xxxxx

I completely agree with this post. It was a big eye opener for me when I first started working in retail. People are so quick to be rude these days, which is why when I’m off work and go into shops I try and be as patient and as understanding as possible and always wish them a good shift. Some people think it’s over the top but honestly I know had I been in that situation for a fact I would have liked it. Loved this post!

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

I totally agree my darling, so many there is no need for people to be so damn rude and the way some people treat others is ridiculous, and completely unnecessary! xxx

  • Alice says:

Totally agree all of this, I also think kindness links in a lot with maturity and empathy. Understanding that sometimes others can do unkind things because of situations in their own life and that it’s not a true reflection of them. It’s always important to be kind!

This is a great post and I totally agree, there needs to be more kindness in the world! When I’ve worked at a service desk I had so many people shout at me on the other end of the phone and there’s no reason for it! I strongly believe in completing little acts of kindness 🙂

I know what you mean my darling, it’s totally unnecessary the way that others treat people sometimes, kindness goes such a long way in life! xxxx

I completely agree. Kindness no matter how big or small goes a really long way. This post reminded me how out and about with my daughter in the buggy I sometimes have to step aside and wait for a person to walk past as there isn’t enough space and it irritates me when they go by without saying thank you. I always say thank you but have started to notice more and more that some people just don’t bother and that makes me really sad.

Saying thank you is so important, and I love the fact that you were kind enough to do that my darling! xxxx

  • Hayley says:

Completely agree with kindness attracts kindness. I’ve really been getting into law of attraction recently and it makes you aware of the vibes you give out. Especially more so that when you give out positive vibes you get it back. It takes so little to be a kind person there is no need to be rude. You never know what someone is going through – the smallest thing you do to them could be a lot if they are already dealing with things. People should remember this also applies to social media and being online. What a waste of time to go around leaving ‘hate’ comments.

  • Boxnip says:

I’ve always been told that I am too kind but I’ve always gone out of my way to help others in whatever way they need it. I am sure some have taken advantage of my kindness over the years but now I’d like to think that I see those that do that and remove them from my life. After all, I may be kind but I am not a doormat. I do think there a lot of people who definitely could be more kind and less self-absorbed and selfish 🙂 x

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

I know what you mean my lovely! Don’t ever let the people who take advantage of your kindness get to you or get you down! xxxx

I agree kindness is so important. It never hurts to be kind. Also, you don’t want people to teat you badly, so you better be nice.

  • Zoe Jackson says:

YES! This is the truth. Totally agree, if everyone was just kind to one another I think a lot of the worlds problems wouldn’t be here. Kindness is free yet many of us don’t practice it and it’s sad. I have two young daughters and I would like to think if I could teach them one thing in life it’d be to be kind to themselves but also more importantly to others!

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

Kindness is something we can all do, it doesn’t take much! xxxx

  • Nancy says:

You make such a good point about kindness. Kindness doesn’t cost anything and it does more good than harm. Love the positivity of this post. I try to be kind as much as possible but it’s unfortunate when others don’t believe in being kind themselves (more entitled if anything). It also makes me feel great to be kind!

kindness definitely attracts kindness. Generally, i am a kind and thoughtful person but there are one or two people who rub me up the wrong way. And if I end up being sacastic or snappy with them it not only potentially upsets them but it spoils my day too. #blogcrush

Yes! My mum used to say “Do to others as you would have them do to you” and I’ve always tried to live my life by that – I know how I would feel in that difficult situation so I offer the help / encouragement / kindness that I would want to have if it was me. Thank you for encouraging some more kindness in the world.
