6 Happy Things – Cats, Netflix & Cosy Clothes

Is it just me or are the weeks literally flying by? I mean last week was the first full week of snapping back into reality (I’m trying my best not to break into song – Eminem is my fave) but we are almost half way through the month.

This is actually the first 6 happy things of the new year too, which I’m actually super excited about as there have been some amazing things happening over the last few weeks, besides it being freezing cold, and the grey clouds which never seem to go away!

1. A Series Of Unfortunate Events S3

During the time between Christmas and New Year I basically watched all the Netflix I physically could. However the programme I was most excited about watched with A Series Of Unfortunate Events S3, now if you haven’t watched it yet – you need to! I loved the books as a child – I’m pretty sure I still have them in my old room, but the last season doesn’t disappoint! I’m really impressed with it. I’m not going to spoil anything or add any spoilers but the ending was amazing in my opinion.

2. Sale Shopping

I actually didn’t spend as much in the sale as I was expecting to, they weren’t that great this year if I’m being 100% honest. I got a few bits from Pixi in the sale & I also got some Bare Minerals  too! Not that I needed any more make up but you know. Needs must.

3. Family Time

Over the festive period I actually took a break from blogging and it’s done the world of good! I needed the break and to just spend quality time with my family. I got lots of lovely cuddles with my baby niece – she also gives the best thumb squeezes too, had fun playing Trivial Pursuit 4 times with the in laws, played all the board games on Christmas day with my mum & wound my sister in law up at Christmas Eve dinner (she also beat me on the Nintendo Switch!) You genuinely can’t beat family time if I’m honest.

4. Having A Massive Clear Out

After Christmas does anyone else feel the need to clear out all of their stuff and get rid of the items that they are no longer using? I’ve still got more to clear out, but I’ve managed to clear out so much! I’ve also vacuum bagged lots of my clothes – especially the summer ones because there is no way I’m wear shorts any time soon. Give me all the jumpers asap.

5. New Jumpers

I went to the charity shop the other day and found a gorgeous green jumper (it’s actually featured in the blog post before this one!) and it is so bloody cosy, it’s a bit big but I love my jumpers oversized to be honest and ridiculously cosy! I’m so happy I popped in, it’s quickly become one of my favourite jumpers! It’s from Dorothy Perkins originally.

6. Cat Cuddles

You genuinely can’t beat pet cuddles. Every time I have a nap at my in laws (we are round every Sunday for dinner) I end up having Yoda sit on me. To be honest he is bloody adorable so I wouldn’t have it any other way – and he loves all the attention too.

What amazing things have happened over the last few weeks for you too? Let me know in the comments!
