14 Things I Need To Do More Of This Year

I’ve talked a lot lately about where I am emotionally and what genuinely makes me happy in my life, it really got me thinking about things that I want to do, things that I need to do more of in general. I feel like I’m the kind of person that is always trying to go full out all the time, try to fit in as much as physically possible to a day but sometimes I forget certain things that are important, so what are the things I need to do more of and probably you need to too!

1. Document memories everywhere I go. Take photos and little reminders of trips. I need to document all the memories and take all the photos. Small mementos from a trip make me happy

2. Say all the things you want to to the people you love. You never know what tomorrow will bring, so remember to say everything you need to!

3. Learning to relax more and appreciate down time. I struggle to relax because my mind tends to just go into overdrive and I like to be productive, but I’ve learned that to be productive you also need some serious down time too.

4. Make plans with the people I love and follow through on those plans. I’m the kind of person that loves to make plans but something always gets in the way!

5. Do things that makes you scared sometimes. When I started blogging it terrified me at the thought of failing, but it’s been the greatest thing I’ve ever done.

6. Try not to let little insecurities hold you back. I’ve seriously got to work on this because I honestly have so many insecurities right now.

7. Stop worrying about what other people think of you! Yep another one that I really have to work on because I always worry what other people think of me!

8. To embrace change more and not be scared of it. I have never been great with change, but I’ve worked so hard on that, even though it still scares me sometimes.

9. Spend good quality time with your family. Family is pretty much everything and making time for your family, they’re the reason you’re here.

10. Learning new things – like a new language or a skill. I’ve wanted to learn a new skill for ages, but I’ve definitely started.

11. Make more time for creating new recipes. I’ve not created new recipes in a while now, but I’m definitely going to work on some new ones, I’ve got some planned but I haven’t had a chance to make them.

12. Appreciate every moment, you never know what tomorrow brings. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, I want to make the most of every moment and everyday!

13. Start a new thing that I want to do right away, rather than wait for the perfect day to make a change. There are lots of things I’ve wanted to do lately, but I’m not going to wait till tomorrow, I’m going to start today.

14. Remember that I’m not a perfect person, no one is and that is 100% okay. I’m definitely the kind of person that understands I’m not perfect, but I’m not going to put myself down, I just want to be the best version of me.

I love this post idea! I felt like I myself could have written a lot of these, especially #1 and #3. I’m always trying to remind myself to take more photos and videos not only of trips but also just of daily life! And I struggle a lot with feeling like I need to be productive all of the time. I really loved reading this post and I want to do one of my own! 🙂

Hi Amie! Love your blog. The design is beautiful and the content is fantastic. ♥

This is a great post. I think so many of us get lost in the day to day junk and forget to celebrate even the small “wins.” More than that though, I think we get lost in what others are doing, what others have (or don’t), other this and others that. We lose sight of us. Our beauty, our purpose, our meaning and value. When that happens, we lose it all.

I love the confidence that comes from trying new things and discovering out more awesome details about who we are and what makes us uniquely special. Take for instance you starting this blog. Everyone who loves and follows you would be missing out on the chance to enjoy you for who you are.

Glad you’re here and glad you shared this post. It’s a wonderful reminder to not be held back. To discover, appreciate and celebrate who we are. Because there’s only one you and you’re awesome. Love to you & yours!
