6 Happy Things From Last Week

How is August almost over, I mean we have just over a week left before we get into September, I mean this year seems to be going so quickly. Anyway last week was an amazing week for me, with the cooler weather, I’ve been enjoying the rain (I never thought I’d be so excited to see some rain) and time with my family. Over the weekend I was actually reading through my old blog posts and I was like look at how far I’ve come and made me realise I wanna make some changes!

So what amazing things happened last week?

1. Family Time 

My family are the best people in the world, I love being able to spend time with them, and last weekend I was with my dad as I haven’t seen him in a while so it was so lovely to just have some time. There is nothing better than being surrounded by your family, there is something so soothing about it.

2. Shopping With My Step Mum

I very rarely just spend one on one time with my step mum, I’m normally with my dad, or family in a group setting, but we actually went out shopping for a few bits and pieces, spent a few hours in town and it was a lot of fun and I picked up a few new bits and pieces, including a new Pixi Glow Tonic which I’ve been saying I’m going to buy for ages and keep forgetting.

3. Seeing My Younger Cousin

If you know me, you will know how much I love my little cousin, she is one of my favourite people in the world and I don’t get to see her as often as I like, but she makes me smile so so much. Seeing how much she has grown up is honestly one of the best things and she literally has a heart of gold.

4. Surprise Birthday Cake

My younger cousin made me the most gorgeous birthday cake using gorgeous flowers and purple, I mean we all know that I put purple in pretty much every photo, and the cake was so good! I had a little bit on Sunday while watching Unforgotten and I was like oh my gosh it was heavenly! Mia literally makes such good cakes!

5. Unforgotten S3 Finale

Oh my goshhhhhh if you haven’t watched it yet, did you see that coming?!? I know I certainly didn’t see that coming and when it finally all came out I was like oh dear lord. There were no words for the ending and it was shocking. I’ve never been so lost for words. If you’ve watched the finale, let me know what you thought or if you had a similar feeling to me!

6. Appreciating Duvet Time

Now I’m not on about anything romantic or anything, the weather has cooled down so much that I can actually curl up in bed with my duvet without having to worry about whether I’m going to wake up in a puddle and feel like I’m having a shower under a duvet. I mean I hate being so hot and so sweaty.
