8 Thoughts Everyone Has During The Summer

The warmer months are officially upon us, even though I’m really not much of a summer person, I do enjoy the warmer weather. This post actually came to mind while I was laying right in front of a fan on full blast attempting not to overheat, I mean it’s been ridiculously hot lately hasn’t it? I mean don’t get me wrong I prefer this to the 15,000 layers that I have to have on when it is during the winter, but what are the thoughts that go through my head during the warmer months? Are they the same as yours?

1. I have nothing to wear

Trying to dress for the warmer months is an absolute minefield, you don’t want to wear too little that when it gets colder in the evening you get cold, and you want to be comfortable. Also being a plus size girl if I don’t wear my Chafree underwear the chub rub pain is real and let’s be honest, no one wants that.

2. I forgot my sunglasses

The amount of times I say that, I don’t have the reactor light glasses, even though I should because of a condition I struggle with, but I like my cute cat sunglasses and they’re so dark it really helps – even though I end up leaving them at home a lot. Then I end up complaining that I can’t see, the endless cycle of I need to remember my sunglasses.

3. It’s so hot I think I might melt

Yep I’m pretty sure that on Saturday I was going to melt, I mean to be fair I didn’t exactly dress appropriately, I did have jeans on (yes it seemed like a good idea at the time but alas it wasn’t. I said to my husband if you’re looking for me I might be in a puddle on the floor because I feel like I’m melting *insert The Wizard of Oz quote here*.

4. Why did I bother putting make up on it’s slipping off my face

When you spend forever putting make up to make me look human, then mother nature decides to crank up the temperature – bye bye make up. Was nice knowing you. Doesn’t matter how much powder I use or how much setting spray, there is only so much it can do up against my glasses before it completely comes off!

5. Why won’t this fan go any faster

As someone who is always ridiculously hot and cannot control her temperature in the summer, the fan officially becomes my best friend. It stays on and at least keeps me somewhat cooler than I would be without it. It’s necessary, I don’t want to look like a roasted tomato which I do when the fan isn’t on!

6. I wonder if there is any ice lollies in the freezer?

That would cool me down, I would fee a bit happier then with an ice lolly or even an ice cream.

7. But that would requite movement to get an ice cream/lolly.

Then I will get hot and grumpy, but it would be worth it in the end wouldn’t it?

8. The sunburn

As someone who wears sun cream most of the time, you can bet that there will be that one time I forget on the hottest day yet, and I will end up looking burnt and tomato red. Not a good look and incredibly uncomfortable. The struggle is real!

All in all the warmer weather is lovely, but I’m more of a Spring or Autumn kinda gal What about you? Let me know in the comments!

I’m the same, I know the perfect stuff to wear for Autumn and Winter, but I think that it is because you can layer up, whereas in the Summer it’s more difficult! xxxx
