Why My Blog Is So Important To Me & Why Everyone Should Have One

My blog has been one of the best things I ever started. I mean seriously, even though lately I’ve been kind of stressed out about it, do you know what it is still one of the best things I have continued and put my mind to. Blogging is one of the things that has kept me going over the last few years, it has been my outlet and has helped me through so much. Until I started blogging, I never actually thought I was that creative, I mean I’m not a Van Gogh or anything, but I’m definitely creative!

So why is my blog so important to me?

One of the reasons my blog is so important is like I said earlier, it is an outlet for me but it’s also my own personal journal. Especially when I’m struggling or having a bad day. We all need somewhere we can just get our emotions out, share how we are feeling and I think everyone needs that. Maybe not in such a public setting, I feel very comfortable sharing my blog online to be quite honest, but it is whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Another reason my blog is so important to me is because I’ve met some of the best people through blogging. I’ve been so lucky and these people have made my blogging experience, without my blog I wouldn’t have met any of these people. Another reason why everyone should have a blog, because there are so many amazing people out there that will have such an impact upon your life.

One thing I have noticed is, I’ve become a much better writer. Looking back at my old blog posts I’ve noticed such a massive difference, I can see how far I’ve come, how much I’ve improved and most importantly I feel a lot more confident with my writing just in general, and it’s such a lovely feeling! I feel like as my writing has improved, my blog has improved and I feel like I can get my thought across much better than I did before!

I’ve gained so much confidence since I started blogging, I feel like I’m learning to accept myself more and I feel like I’m in a better head space with my own mental health. Mental health has been something I’ve struggled with for years now, and being able to talk openly about mental health on my own platform, especially with people who understand has been one of the greatest things for me.

As someone who has been at this blogging marlarky for over 3 years now, I think everyone should do this, everyone should have a chance to share their thoughts and feelings online. It’s not about PR samples, it’s about having a safe space for yourself online where you can just be you and talk to others with similar interests that you wouldn’t necessarily have met if it hadn’t been for blogging.

Do you have a blog or do you want to start blogging? Has this convinced you? Let me know in the comments!

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

Exactly, I feel the same with mine. When you work so hard at something, it becomes such an important part of your life! xxxx

  • I couldn’t agree more. Blogging is such a great thing and what I love about it is mostly anyone could do it, as long as they have a passion for it. Your blog is definitely one that I love and like to read often. It can be scary to talk about feelings in person but then when it comes to blogging, I find it so therapeutic to just write it all down.

  • I started blogging when I was 14 and I’ve always loved writing, creating content. I too have stopped halfway of my blogging journey but then I realized how much I love writing, sharing and talking with the people online. So I’m back now! Looking back at my old posts and writing does make me cringe though haha!

That is amazing that you’ve noticed all those things too! Meeting fabulous people is such a bonus too! xxxx

  • I totally totally totally agree with you! A blog is a safe space for you to get creative and express yourself. It’s not about ‘freebies’ because we all know the work that goes into getting them but more than that, it’s about creating something you’re proud of.

    Love your blog babe x
