8 Things I’ve Learned On Becoming The Happiest Verion Of Me

I’ve been talking a lot more about mental health, emotional health and overall wellbeing! I’m doing what makes me happy now and reminding myself that I deserve to be happy too! I notice that sometimes I end up putting everything and everyone before myself and I think that sometimes we need a wake up call and a reminder that we need to do what is best for us. Putting myself first is the first step into becoming the happiest version of me. So what are the things I have learned?

1. It’s Not Selfish To Put Yourself First

Ugh the most annoying thing in the world is when people think that putting yourself first is selfish. It really isn’t. It honestly is 100% necessary. The thing that you need to remember when you’re thinking you shouldn’t put yourself first is, you can’t look after anyone else if you don’t look after yourself.

2. Don’t Compare Yourself

Oh lordy I’m honestly the worst for this because in all honesty I’m the kind of person that loves to see other people excel and support them as much as possible, but I’m also the kind of person that looks and thinks oh I could be doing more. I could excel more. Then I end up overthinking everything and it is just one vicious cycle. Don’t do it. Don’t get on that merry go round, it’s difficult to get off after.

3. Don’t Put Yourself Down.

I’m the worst person for doing that, but I think that is because I get a lot of comments because of my size, and do you know what it really does hurt and I don’t think people fully understand that. I am human, but do you know what, I’m still fabulous and I want to feel comfortable in my own skin.

4. Bad Days Don’t Last Forever

Corny I know right? But so true. On bad days I’m just rolling with them and doing what is important to me and if nothing gets done then I make a better plan for tomorrow. It will be okay.

5. Making Time With Loved Ones Is Important

This is so so true because with your loved ones it is important to make time with those people who keep you grounded, these are the people who pick you up when you need it the most and that is  the most important thing ever!

6. Make Time For You.

The most important thing is the fact that you make time for yourself, doing whatever you love the most, or anything that makes you smile, mainly me playing sims makes me smile a hell of a lot!

7. Push Yourself Out Of Your Comfort Zone

I have definitely learned to push myself out of my comfort zone because I think when I do, the best things happen! The best things happen at the end of your comfort zone and it is so worth it to just keep going and see what happens.

8. I Deserve To Be Happy

On those bad days remember that you deserve to be happy and your happiness should be one of the most important things, and that I where I am currently at in my life. My happiness, my life, my rules.

What are your thoughts on this post? What do you do to put your own happiness first?

It is so hard though because you always think the worst of yourself looking at others but don’t forget how wonderful you are! xxx
