Sunday evenings tend to be the worst right? Well not anymore for me anyway. I’ve found a few habits that I’ve adopted to make my life easier on a Monday morning & also to give me a better week ahead. These habits are very easy to implement and will make for a much better week ahead, more productive and give you a more positive outlook.
01. Plan ahead
I always plan my days every evening after work as I always know what needs to be done, but planning ahead is definitely one of the best things you can do.
Plan what you need to do by prioritising the most important tasks, prep your breakfast and make sure that your work area is clear. Where I’m working from home at the moment, making sure that everything is tidy and clear so that I can log on in the morning with a clear mind and plan on what I need to do.
02. Have a pamper session
I’m a massive fan of pamper sessions and I definitely make sure that I do this on a regular basis, but on Sunday’s I go with hair masks, face masks, I mean you name a mask, I’ll most likely use them on a Sunday. I always feel like I have my life together after a good pamper session, and I feel like I can take on the world after I’ve pampered myself.
03. Do things you enjoy
Sunday’s are normally my days where I rest, do my favourite things and watch my favourite programmes. When you have a relaxing Sunday and do everything you want to, it gives you the greatest start to a new week.
There are so many things I enjoy doing such as playing computer games, reading books, working out, going on long walks, taking naps, watching my favourite programmes and spending time with my husband.
04. Have a successful wind down routine
Wind down routines are so important to me, mainly because they determine the kind of sleep I’m going to have, and lately I’ve perfected my routine to ensure that I get the best night’s sleep. Before I go to bed, I ensure I have turned down all the lights in my room, created a calming environment, sprayed my sleep spray and relaxed. I also love to read my book before bed, but if you’re looking for books to add to your reading list, you can check out what books I’ve been reading lately.
05. Have your favourite snacks at hand
I am always a sucker for a good snack, but there are so many amazing snacks vegan snacks to hand. I’ve spoken previously about my love for Vegummies as they are the ultimate Pick N Mix choice, but they’ve now got their Halloween assortment including their raspberry foam skulls and peachy ghosts. They also have iChoc & toffee fudge which is incredible too, so there is always something for everyone’s sweet tooth!

I love these ways to adapt to a better week ahead! Sunday evenings are what you make of them, if you have a good, well thought out Sunday evening, you got a good chance of having a good week! I love how you talked about wind down routines, they’re so important at the end of the week! x

I would be so unorganized if I didn’t plan ahead! My planner is everything, and I’m so glad I got in the habit of using one in college. 🙂

These are great tips Amie! I always try to have some form of pampering session on a Sunday evening, it really helps to relax and unwind to feel fresh for the new week, doesn’t it? Also, love the sound of your snacks…will have to check them out!

I love these tips, thank you. Being organised and planning ahead is definitely a good thing to stop all the thoughts going around in your head for what needs to be done!

Good tips! I do most of these myself. Having routines is an important part of self care I think; when we k is what’s coming next anxiety can’t set in as easily so you don’t become overwhelmed.
Good tips! I did 4/5. I need to do the last one as well. Thank you for sharing.
What amazing tips! I’m defo going to try them! Thank you xx
Great tips, lovely! I really like to plan ahead if I can but I’ve been finding it difficult these last few months. You never know what the heck is going to happen next! Today I’ve done my laundry, will make a to-do list of what I’d like to do and have a shower!

I always take the time to make a to-do list for the coming day. It’s such an important way to set myself up for success. Otherwise, it is so easy to get sidetracked with a million other things and, ultimately, fail to get anything done that actually NEEDS to be done.
Yes, yes, YES I am so down with the pampering part. It’s so SO important to me X
I love this!! I’ve currently got my Sunday as my blog prep day but I’m thinking of switching that to a Saturday just because it tends to mean I’m feeling behind by a Sunday evening which is not a good space to be in. This is definitely giving me the nudge to do that. i know what you mean about feeling like you can take on the world after a pamper session – so true! Great post, as always.
Thanks for sharing, this is a great way to get ahead for a good week to realise all the stress and relax 🙂

Love these tips! I plan all the time and write lists for everything. Pampering is very important! Thanks for sharing!
Love this Amie! I always find getting Monday off to a good start and having a plan in place is a great way to start the week!
Having a routine definitely makes the week go better for me.
Especially if Sunday is fairly chilled but productive.
I love pic n mix as well! It’s my weakness x x
For me, a good week starts with lots of organisation. I never leave work without creating the next day/week’s to do list and I leave my office area as tidy as possible. I like to have a chilled out Sunday and have a huge bath/shower. If I’m clean, tidy and ready to go for the week, I will be in a good place. There’s nothing worse than waking up late with greasy hair and a mess before you!

This is a great post and I love these tips! Having snacks at hand as to be my favourite though as I’m a huge snacker xx

I need to try Vegummies they look so good!
I personally love planning out my week, it really gets me into a positive mindset and as you tick stuff off over the week it makes you feel so productive! When it comes to wind-down time too, I love taking some time to read before going to bed as it really helps my mind to relax. Thanks for sharing! x
Loved this post! Definitely going to give myself a pamper session this weekend 🙂
Planning ahead is definitely extremely helpful, especially in my working and blogging life! I couldn’t agree more about having a pamper session, it really sets the tone for the week ahead!
Snacks and a good wind down routine are essential. I like to make sure I’m super organised for the week ahead so I’m not rushing anything last minute.
snacks are key! Thanks for the ideas! Going to get my plan on for this next week!
I can’t be without a planner ever! They just make my life so much more easier and I can stay on top of things like my next pamper session. x
I definitely agree with planning ahead, I am a huge lover of to-do lists!! Self-care is also my fave so give me a face and hair mask any day!x
