New In Beauty Products – My First Impressions

There has been so many launches lately that I have needed to get my hands on. New foundation, new blushes, lip glosses, I mean you name it, there have been so many gorgeous launches that I’m all about. Unfortunately, my bank account doesn’t always agree. I’ve managed to pick up 3 different launches that I really wanted to try (not all of it I might add, gotta pay the bills first) however, here are my first impressions on the products I’ve picked up!

Stay Naked Foundation

As soon as I saw this pop up on TrendMood’s Instagram I knew I needed to have it in my life. It looked right up my street and I wasn’t a massive fan of the All Nighter foundation by Urban Decay, but I loved the Naked concealer. I went and got shade matched because the amount of shades even got me slightly confused, there are so many different undertones to take into account, I literally thought, I’m probably going to be one of the lightest shades, but I wasn’t I’m shade 20CP.

The foundation blends out so nicely on the skin and covers so much of the redness that I do have around my nose and my chin as I have had quite a break outs lately. Thank god they are starting to clear.

ELF Jelly Pop Juicy Lip Glosses

I’ve got 2 of the shades, Cherry Pop and Apricot Pop, both look super pretty on the lips. They just add a slight hint of colour to your lips, so if you’re looking for a very pigmented lip gloss, then this probably isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a gloss that is going to give you a lovely shine, leaves your lips feeling incredibly hydrated and nourished, without leaving your lips feeling sticky with a slight hint of colour, then this lip gloss is definitely for you. These glosses are only £5 too, so for a fiver, you can’t got wrong really. They also smell absolutely divine.

ELF Jelly Pop Flush Blush

I’ve got both shades of the flush blushes, and both I am really impressed with! I’ve been loving using both of them for different reasons and depending on the kind of look I am going for with my make up. I am a massive fan of the Peach Pop, I think they look so gorgeous and on the skin and I love the Berry Pop blush for when I’m going for a more natural, blush and highlighter look. Both blushes have a glow to them, and I really like a glowing blush lately, but it isn’t too overpowering, it really helps me to create a ‘No Make Up’ look. They are really easy to blend in to the skin. If you are a looking for a blush that will give you this gorgeous pop of colour and a little shine, then these blushes will both work wonders for you!

Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara

I am a massive fan of the Better Than Sex mascara, I have gone through about 10 tubes of the stuff by now. It is an amazing mascara, so when I saw this from Too Faced I was ridiculously excited. I’ve been using this quite a lot lately, and I really like it. I have naturally very long lashes anyway, but this really does help to lift them, give them a bit of oompfh, separates them and also doesn’t flake in my eyes. It definitely makes your lashes look thicker, and doesn’t clump at all (or at least I haven’t experienced any!)

The brushes is rather big as you can see so it is definitely going to be a learning curve getting used to that, and the formula feels thicker than the Better Than Sex formula, but it works absolutely wonders!

If you’re looking to get a false lash look with a mascara, I would definitely recommend trying this mascara!

Ooh those lip glosses look divine! I love the slightly more understated ones that feel good rather than necessarily focusing on colour. I always read your posts and then feel inspired to make an effort with make up etc, which is something I’ve been really struggling with lately – so thanks! Awesome post, as per usual!

The stay naked foundation sounds great x

  • I still haven’t tried Better Than Sex because I typically don’t like that shape of wand so maybe the bigger one would suit me better. I love the sound of it. I don’t think the Urban Decay foundation is for me but I really want to go and get shade matched to see how pale they go. I’ve seen so many amazing things about the range x

  • I’ve seen a lot of jelly formulas in the beauty industry recently, I know Rimmel just bought some out as well. How do they feel on the skin? The only thing I would worry about is then trying to use powder.
