The last few weeks have been so busy and super hectic, I mean to the point where I have felt like my lists have their own list friends and they just seem to multiply. I mean I know that sounds like a small, but damn it’s irritating feeling like it’s just never ending. I have needed to chill so badly, and the good thing is about the colder weather is the fact that I can curl up in a blanket, turn my phone off and just chill out. So what wonderful things have been happening over the last few weeks?
1. Making A Murderer
It didn’t take long for Paul and I to finish this to be honest, we managed to binge watch the first season in about a day because we got so into it. If you haven’t watched the first series, I’d definitely recommend it, and even if you don’t believe they’re innocent (I do – I believe they’re innocent and deserve to be freed) you have to admit that something is seriously wrong with what happened during that investigation. I’m so invested in Brendan Dassey and Steven Avery, I really hope they do get the justice they deserve. I do feel so badly for Teresa Halbach’s family though. It’s awful what they’ve gone through.
2. Candle Weather
It’s got cold enough finally that I can start to burning my candles, and getting ready for my favourite months of the year! Anyone else ridiculously in love with any candle that smells amazing – I mean as long as it isn’t cinnamon (I’m allergic to it – sorry about that) I love it so much! I love anything with a fruity scent.
3. Cats. Cats. Cats.
If you know me, you will know that my in laws have 2 cats named Yoda and Jaja Binks (yes we like Star Wars) and on Sunday I got the biggest cuddles ever from them. They always know how to make me smile, and having cuddles with furry animals is the best feeling isn’t it?
4. My Addiction To Pasta
As the colder months are slowly rolling around, I’m ready for all of the comfort food, and let’s be honest there is nothing more comforting in the world than pasta is there? I recently shared a recipe on my blog for an Easy and Cheesy Pasta Bake which is the perfect meal when you’re in a rush, or you’re wanting a delicious mean in the evening that is filling and comforting.
5. Fresh Sheets
I recently purchased some new bottom sheets for my bed, mainly because I’m adulting very quickly and buying sheets for my bed is literally the best feeling in the world. I’m getting ready for all the cosy vibes if I’m honest, and nothing makes me feel better than new bed sheets. Snug as a bug in a rug.
6. The Leaves Are Changing Colour
Finally the leaves are changing colour and I honestly couldn’t be happier, it’s the most colourful time of year, and there is literally nothing better than feeling the leaves crunch under your feet. Paul and I have been going for walks and feeling them crunch under your feet is such an amazing feeling!
What amazing things have been happening to you lately? Let me know in the comments!

Can’t beat a good pasta dish and a cuddle with a furry animal! xxxx
Lovely post and I immediately felt a connection toon as I’m convinced my lists multiply while I sleep. Add a 50 hour work week in there and it can feel like I’m being run over. Your post was a gentle reminder – and timely. The simplicity of fresh sheets, calming candles, and the colors of fall. Thank you for the reminder. Much appreciated.

Thank you so much my lovely, it’s the little things that really matter! xxxx
My brothers girlfriend recently recommended watching ‘Making a Murderer’ – I hadn’t seen or heard of it before, but it sounds really interesting – I can’t believe what happened from what she briefly told me about it! I’ll be trying to watch it over the weekend. This cold weather is definitely perfect for just getting cosy in bed and watching programmes 😀 my favourite! Haha. Also, I totally agree with your addiction to pasta – I’m addicted too 😂 it’s one of my favourite meals, I have it most days for lunch when I can! I prefer it so much over sandwiches or anything.

Let me know what you think of it my darling! I think your brother’s girlfriend is right, I think you will love it! xxxx
I’ve heard of Making a Murderer but didn’t know if I should take the plunge and watch a few episodes, I’m always looking for new shows to watch! And yes finally candle weather! It’s just cold enough to have a few around, I can stay in the candle area of stores forever, so many amazing scents!
YAY for leaves changing color, I went on my run earlier today and I love seeing how the trees are slowly having their leaves change color.

I’m a sucker for calming candles and it’s finally hit candle weather and I couldn’t be happier! xxxx
It’s rolling in to summer here in Australia but it’s funny – I don’t associate candles with the winter months, I burn fresh smelling candles throughout summer plus outdoor candles to keep bugs away if we are BBQing.
Ahh I totally didn’t think of that because your seasons are different! I love candles because they warm everything up too and they’re just so calming! xxxxx
I love candles. I have loads, it’s such a problem. I need to start gifting some!

Nothing beats the feeling of snuggling in a clean bed – with either a book or Netflix. I’ve heard a few people over the last few years talking about The Making of a Murderer and I’m definitely intrigued – it sounds good. Great post, as always!
I’m a sucker for fresh sheets, it always makes feel so cosy! xxxx

The leaves changing colour is one of my favourite parts of the autumn season. I don’t like burning candles so bought some LED battery ones instead, they still have the same effect. I’ve never seen Making A Murderer, but I know a lot of people that rave about it!
