6 Happy Things – Cake and Family Time

I have had so many amazing things going on lately, I mean the in the midst of a lot of difficult things going on in my personal life, there are still a lot of good things happening. I know that during difficult times, I really appreciate all the good things that happen, and I try to stop my anxiety from ruining the happy moments that are happening in my life right now.

Family Time

I’ve been spending so much time with my family and loved ones lately. They are the people that keep me strong, keep me motivated and remind me that I can do anything, even when my anxiety tells me that I can’t.

My Grandad’s 90th Birthday

It was my Grandad’s 90th birthday on the 20th July, and I managed to get together all of my family for a surprise party for him. We had amazing vegan sandwiches, a vegan cake and my Grandad got to see the people who care about him for his birthday. I had been planning to with the help of my Nan, Aunt and Dad and they were so helpful in making sure the plan went off without a hitch. My grandad was so surprised when he saw us!

Time Off With My Husband

Work has been ridiculously busy lately, I genuinely love it when it is busy because I love my job. Some time off with my husband was amazing, we spent so much quality time together, went out for dinner, watched The Lion King at the cinema and it was perfect. It was exactly what I needed and it made me feel so much better.

Paul has been my absolute rock, especially lately with my anxiety everything that I’ve had going on, he has kept me calm and he always has some really bad jokes to cheer me up so that is always a bonus.

Finding My Blogging Mojo

I’m not sure how long I will have found my blogging mojo for, but since having a little time off work, I’ve had my creative hat back on, I’ve been writing posts, taking photos, and uploading to Instagram. Not many people actually see my posts any more but I’m just enjoying creating. As long as I enjoy what I upload that is all that matters.

Taking More Time To Read

I’ve posted quite a few book blog posts lately, I feel like I have found my favourite genre and I’m making more of an effort to read books. It helps my anxiety, it calms me and it really helps when it comes to winding down before bed. I’ve been reading so many thrillers lately, and I picked up quite a few in Sainsburys and in The Works!

The Sims Island Living

Now if you know me, you will know I have all the Sims expansion packs for Sims 3 and Sims 4, I have them all for the original Sims, and them all on PlayStation for Sims 2. I adore The Sims and I actually bought this when it came out, I love how interactive the Sims are, the building on water, the snorkelling, everything. The Sims is one of my all time favourite games besides Skyrim, Battlefield and a couple of others!

Even in the darkest and most difficult of times, I’m trying to find positives, especially with the way my mental health has been. I have a wonderful job, with people who are lovely and I have wonderful family, and friends. I’m grateful for so much at the moment, I just want life to calm down a little and for things to get better in general.

That is a lovely list of ‘happy’ things 🙂 I loved the fact that you were able to see your grandfather on his birthday – that must’ve been a fantastic surprise for him. I feel the same as you about my posts: it doesn’t matter if many people get to see it, it matters that I love writing it! Great post!
