If you’ve followed my social media for a while now you will know that I have been talking a lot about my struggles, I mean we all have them, we have bad days that feel like they’re never ending but they do, things do get better. That is kind of the way I have been feeling lately. Everything just hit a certain point and it was like nope, and everything came crashing down, it made me re-evaluate everything, and it gave me a little wake up call about certain things. Ready to find out?
1. Life is a journey, you’re not supposed to know what you want to do straight away – Look I’m 25, I’m still trying to figure my life out, I have an amazing partner who I adore, a roof over my head, I will figure it out eventually. There is no age range where you do need to have your life planned out, everything happens when it is supposed to, give it time.
2. It’s okay to talk about your emotions – We all have certain things that sometimes we say oh we don’t want to talk about, maybe we aren’t ready, but if you get to the point where you want to talk about something, then do it. Sometimes just talking about it will set you free, it makes your heart a bit lighter and gives you a bit more peace of mind. We all need that sometimes.
3. You are not alone – This kind of leads on from the second point, but you are never alone, there is always someone who will listen to your rants and rambles, make sense of those things and make you realise that honestly it will all be okay. Not only that, these people will want the best for you, they wouldn’t want you to be struggling in silence/
4. Keep your head up – My Grandad always says things like that, keep your chin up, it will all come out in the wash and you never realise how true those things are until it happens. Hold your head up high and be proud of yourself.
5. Everything in life is temporary – I never realised how important this quote was until I changed the way I looked at it. Everything is temporary because everything is always changing, our choice we make changes our paths, the direction we go in, how long the road takes, it’s all relative. On those bad days, remember it won’t last forever.
6. It’s okay to give yourself space – We all need space sometimes to take a moment, have a breath, give yourself some time and slow down. Life can pass us by so fast, that we forget to just take a minute, to just take a deep breath in and chill. It’s easy to say take time for yourself, but difficult to actually do to find that time. Find time to just be still, we all need it sometimes.
What are some of your pick me ups on bad days? Are there any words of wisdom you need to share with others? Let me know in the comments!

Always here if you need anything darling, it will get better, sometimes small reminders can really help! xxxx
I’ve had such a tough week, nothing major but lots of little things that have chipped and chipped away at me to make me feel down so this post has been exactly what I need. I also need to remind myself sometimes that life isn’t always planned and doesn’t go to plan!
The little things can have such a big impact on the way you feel though, it’s important to just take a moment and a little reminder can go such a long way. Here if you need a chat angel! xxxx
This is a great post Amie! One thing I always remember that my therapist said once which stuck was how life always ebbs and flows. It’s not and never will be constant. So even if you’re on a down right now, there will be a time when it goes back up. Whenever I’m having a tough time, I always remember that.
Thank you so much angel! That is such an amazing thing that you therapist said, I might remind myself of that actually! xxxx
I love the first point you made. I’m always feeling so behind in life and like I should be in a specific place, but I’m not! That really triggers my anxiety and depression. I needed this! Thanks!

Oh Amie, I’m going to bookmark this blogpost! I definitely need to hear/read these things once in a while. As always, I’ve enjoyed reading your blog 🙂
Thank you so much darling, I really appreciate! Little words can make a massive difference! xxxx
I love “keep your head up”, makes me think of the Birdy song! i’m also a big fan of “worrying means you suffer twice” – Newt Scamander. I struggle to believe it at times, but it is truer than true and words we could all live by more.

Oooh I didn’t think of that quote! That is such a good one! It’s wise words to live by and it does help! xxxx
