This week I’ve managed to absolutely slay my to do list, I feel like I’ve managed to get my mojo back for everything. Whether it was blogging, or social media, or just life in general, I feel like I’m finally getting to a much better place. Now I’m posting this on a Sunday, and even though you might be reading this on a different day, the same rules still apply. We all have days where being motivated to do what is on our to do list, but here are my top tips on having a productive day & nail that to do list.
Schedule your time – I love a to do list, it really helps me to stay on track, but sometimes it helps me if I schedule my time, it keeps me motivated. Not only that I do really struggle when it comes to feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I need to get done, so spreading it throughout the week can really help. I always try to leave a little bit of a gap because that way if there is an emergency, or life happens to get in the way at least it gives me a chance to space it out without setting off my anxiety.
When you schedule your time, prioritise – Now I know the things that I need to get done in a short time frame, I make sure that they are done first before anything. That way I can keep my head screwed on and not have to worry that I have forgotten something or left it too late when I have deadlines. Nothing worse than not sticking to a deadline because I have an awful memory!
Remember to take breaks – Honestly taking breaks is so important for my productivity, I feel that knowing I have just 10 minutes away from my computer with a cup of coffee helps not only my productivity, but my mental wellbeing. You want to enjoy what you do, you don’t want to feel like it is a chore and that is something that definitely applies when it comes to my blog because taking a break ignites my productivity and my motivation to write.
On bad days, don’t force it – If there is one thing I’ve learned it’s if you’re having an awful day don’t force it. The more you force it, the less likely you are to have a massively productive week. I’m just trying to just stop forcing myself to be productive on those days where my mental health is awful, it’s not worth sacrificing your mental health for. Do what is important to you!
Remember to chill out & have a pamper – Yep the one thing that is easier said than done, chilling out is something that I tend to really struggle with, but right now I’m really trying to just chill out and be away from my computer, read more of my books and chuck a face mask on. I need to remember to take a break, you can’t be productive everyday, it’s exhausting so give yourself a break and pamper yourself.
Sometimes being productive means taking care of yourself – I’m always very guilty of this, I normally put everyone before myself. Being productive doesn’t always mean you have to be doing something, investing time in yourself, not just having a chill out and a pamper. I mean, looking at where you want to go, how you want to achieve your dreams, investing time in your own personal health and wellness. These are all important for a productive week!

I totally agree my lovely, when I plan everything out, it helps me so much and when I need to get things done planning my time makes things so much easier! xxxx
I need to get a better handle on the ‘scheduling’ part of this — I tend to procrastinate a lot!

I totally get that my lovely, I hope you get your productivity back and your motivation! xxxx
This post is super helpful for an organising freak like me! I’m definitely guilty of trying to force things on bad days and forgetting to look after myself. I’m a big fan of to-do lists, and I usually write times beside each activity so I have no excuse to put it off til later.

That is an amazing way of doing it my lovely! I love being super organised and getting my productive head on! xxxx
Right now I feel like I need to split myself in half or invest in a Bernard’s watch to get anything done! These tips are so helpful. Setting a schedule defo helps me!
Bernard’s watch would definitely come in handy just for general adult life to be fair! xxxx
I had a ridiculously productive day yesterday but today I’m just exhausted and all I want to do is sleep or watch Friends! I’m taking it easier today but still working through my to-do list. Just slower 🙂
I’m doing the same at the moment, I feel so rough, but I know if I take it slow I can get it done! xxxx
Yes, girl! You can’t force it. It’s necessary to take your time and just do what you can. This is exceptionally important for mental health.
I totally agree, if you force anything I’ve noticed especially in myself that my mental health deteriorates so much! xxxx
great post, planning always is a great way to be productive
If I plan everything out I know I will definitely get everything done. I’m the kind of person that plans down to the tiniest detail! xxx
Yes to having a pamper! Sometimes we just need to unwind before tackling everything!
I totally agree, a pamper and some time to just unwind is so necessary! xxx
Planning is my thing, I do love a good plan sometimes. I also like to reward myself after being productive, as it can get quite exhausting.

It’s so important not to force it on bad days, I can still be guilty of that sometimes if I’m honest! xxxxx
