4 Positive Habits That Have Made A Difference Lately

I’m trying to do more and more of that law of attraction, trying to basically attract more positivity into my life and just be an overall more positive person. I know that isn’t always easy and trust me I totally get that, take that from someone who has been in a really rough spot for the last few weeks, I’m finally getting out of that space and into a happier place. I’m definitely working on creating a healthier environment for myself, mind, body and soul, but what are the habits that are helping me and could they help you?

1. Yoga

I’ve been doing yoga for years, it has been one of those important things for my own thoughts and feelings. Especially during some of the most difficult times with my mental health, having quiet moments to just breathe, chill out and flow through some yoga poses. You don’t have to even do anything difficult a few sun salutations, just to stretch out your body, it is just so soothing. Lately I’ve been doing Jillian Michaels Yoga Inferno mainly because I love a good challenge but there are some really easy and soothing routines on YouTube for you to do!

2. Going out more

To be honest I have been making the most of the good weather, and trying to appreciate it while it lasts because let’s be honest with the Great British weather you can guarantee that it doesn’t last long! It gives you some time away and not only that the fresh air does me the world of good, it gives me a refresh and not only that if I’m trying to work on my blog, then by going out it helps me to give me the motivation that I need to put my thoughts into the words I can write down for my blog.

3. Avoiding my phone at certain times

Now this one has been really hard. Getting the urge to just reach for my phone during the evening or if I wake up at night, that has been the hardest one, but I’ve worked so hard on it, making sure that I don’t reach for my phone and I just focus on being chilled out. My phone isn’t my top priority, we all need a break away even if it is just for a few hours before bed. That has helped me sleep much better lately, and to be quite honest I needed it so badly lately.

4. Listening to my body more

I’m the kind of person that will push my body to the absolute limit. It doesn’t matter what I am doing, I will push my body, but lately I’ve been listening to my body, mainly because I’ve had to but it has taught me that I really do need to listen to my body more. Whether it is saying no to certain things or it is taking a small break from workouts, whatever my body is telling me, I listen. I think that has been helped through the yoga because you learn to listen to your body so much more and it really does help!

What positive habits have helped you lately? Let me know in the comments!

I’ve been listening to my body a lot lately and have taken it easy for the past few weeks. I was so sleep deprived and had crippling migraines that left me unable to move that I really had to reevaluate what I was doing and just say fuck it and blow stuff off. Luckily I didn’t have any deadlines for projects so I was able to take that time I needed. On the mend and glad to be back to blogging again though. Great post! It’s important to take care of yourself 💗

I’ve never done yoga, is it good? I might try it. Turning off all my social notifications has definitely made a difference, as I look at them when I want to, not when I have a new reply/retweet/message.
