6 Vegan Hair and Skincare Favourites

* Contains PR samples

A new month, a new post all about my favourite vegan beauty products. Since the pandemic, I’ve been making a point to try and take care of my hair and my skin, and I’ve found so many incredible products that I really enjoy! If you struggle with combination, spot prone skin, or are looking for new haircare products, you will love this post.

Grab a cuppa and get ready to find some new beauty products to add to your collection!

Briogeo Banana and Coconut Nourishing Shampoo

Now it may look like I’ve not used a lot of it, but I’ve used this constantly for around 2 months, and a little goes such a long way!  This shampoo is honestly like heaven in a bottle. I struggle with dull, lifeless and my hair can go from very greasy to very dry, but since using this my hair is in such great condition, it leaves my hair feeling so soft, silky and nourished.

The shampoo is £24, however, it does last a very long time, it leaves your hair feeling incredibly healthy, and not that the smell is absolutely incredible.

Davines Blow Dry Primer

Looks like since I bought this they have repackaged this, but I’ve been loving this product so much, I use it all of the time. This product gives such incredible volume, and not only that it keeps your hair looking smooth and shiny! I always worry that volumising sprays are going to leave my hair feeling crunchy, but this one doesn’t it boosts your roots, detangles your hair and is an absolute miracle product. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who has a similar hair type to mine!

Sol De Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

I originally got the small pot of this because I wasn’t sold on the idea of spending £44 on a moisturiser, I’ve got to be honest, I understand why it is such a cult favourite. It literally smells like holiday, and the smell lasts a while too! It is such a luxurious moisturiser to use, I love it so much! As soon as you apply the moisturiser, it melts into the skin without feeling greasy, or even feeling heavy on your skin, it is a joy to use, and I personally feel like if you’re looking for a luxurious moisturiser, then you would be wise to invest in this one. This pot has lasted me so long as well, you won’t be disappointed.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum

I’ve tried a lot of skincare from Glow Recipe, and I’ve got to be honest I really enjoy what they offer, their products are incredible. This serum is no different. Over the winter months, I’ve really struggled with dry skin, especially around my forehead and on my cheeks. Since using this product however, I’ve noticed a massive difference, my skin feels hydrated, soft and has evens out my skin tone. I have been using this on my T-Zone and I struggle a lot with oil around my nose, but this product make my skin feel hydrated without increasing oil production in that area or leaving my skin feeling greasy.

It is a slight investment in your skin for £37 but I use a pea sized amount for my face and it works wonders. I’ve been using this product for a while now, and I’ve still got most of the bottle left!

E.L.F Super Hydrate Moisturiser

I love E.L.F skincare, I feel like they’re amazing value for money and do exactly what they say they are going to. This moisturiser has been one that I use every morning before I start work and it gives my skin the hydration it needs, without making it feel greasy, but also softens my dry skin.

The moisturiser is light, is a gel consistency, and doesn’t leave your face feeling sticky. If you’re looking for a moisturiser that is also a good base for your make up, then this moisturiser will not disappoint you!

Q+A Niacinamide Daily Toner*

This toner has quickly become one of my favourites to use. As someone who get a very oily t-zone, using this honestly works wonders. I notice if I use this at night that in the morning it helps to reduce the amount of oil my skin produces, and any enlarged pores are minimised. I also notice that spots that I do have with continuous use this helps with any redness and really has helped to target my spots.

For £8 a bottle this has become a staple in my skincare routine!

These products are my absolute favourites lately, have you tried any of these products? Are you interested in any? Let me know in the comments!

  • I have never heard of any of these but I would love to try the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum. Lately, my skin has been incredibly dry and this sounds like a great serum to keep it hydrated.

A moisturiser that actually works is actually so hard to come by! The Elf one sounds great. My hands down holy grail is The Body Shop Aloe Vera Day Cream.

I was looking at the Q&A Niacinamide toner the other day as their website recommended it for my skin type. It was hard to do the questionnaire as I have such combination skin!! It sounds really brilliant but not quite right for my drier skin. I instead have a toner from A Good Company to try, what I’ve never heard of so excited to see how that perform!

  • I love reading your skincare posts – thank you for sharing so many good recommendations. I especially love the sound of the shampoo and toner x

  • Thanks for sharing Amie! Always looking for new Vegan skincare products to try. Although right now I think I need to invest in some decent Vegan and CF hair products because I’m neglecting my hair a bit! x

  • Thank you for the recommendation. I will look into these products and try them.

  • I started using vegan only hair products at the tail end of last year as a test. I then had to switch back to a non-vegan supermarket brand and WOW the difference was insane. I’ve since gone back to vegan friendly and my hair is much happier. Less build up, less oils, my hair is weightless and shiny!
Great post, I’m defo going to look into investing in some of these bits!

  • I have used just a couple of these brands and quite curious to try Q+A and the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream sounds like a must-try too! Thank you for sharing x

  • Gorgeous post, these are brilliant recommendations and I definitely need to invest a little more in my haircare x

  • Stephanie says:

Davines has been one of my favorite brands for years, but I had no clue they were vegan! I work as the social media manager for my local hair salon and I do the product photography for the page. They’re a Davines salon, so I take photos of a lot of those products and write captions about them, but now I get to rave that they’re vegan too! That’s awesome!

  • Lucy says:

I love the sound of that shampoo Amie, it sounds like a shampoo my hair needs right now! x

I haven’t heard of many of these lines so it’s neat to find out about them. I like that they are vegan, even though I’m not vegan myself because I know they are cruelty free, and that’s important to me. Thanks for sharing.

  • Lovely post! I’ve not tried any of these goodies before. I’ve heard AMAZING things about the Brazilian bum bum cream though. Although like you say it’s a little pricey for my liking. Your photos are gorgeous btw!

Ooh the toner looks brilliant – something that’s effective and affordable? It’s always hard trying to balance everything when they’re pricey. The Glow Recipe packaging is also amazing. Great recommendations, thanks.

  • Glow Steady says:

Thanks for the suggestions, I love Glow Recipe products and really like the sound of that serum! I love the sound of the elf moisturiser too x

  • As someone who’s been trying to purchase vegan only skin and beauty products, Glow Recipe has been on my radar for the past while. That serum sounds it might be worth the price tag! I too have an oily t-zone, so it’s always a delicate balance finding moisturizers and serums that don’t exacerbate that.

  • Lauren says:

I love Q+A and I worked with them back in January! I also worked with face theory and balance me – I definitely recommend them. You have a great selection in here.

  • I love the ELF moisturizer you mentioned, I love their skincare as wel as makeup products, such too value for money! Milli X – http://millidavison.co.uk/

  • Hannah says:

These sound amazing! I’m trying to use up all my products so I can focus on vegan and cruelty-free ones! I will have to get some of these once I run out!

  • These sound great! When it comes to skincare, I have Sol de Janeiro taste but should really be on an Elf budget 🙁 I honestly do a double or triple take whenever I see the Brazilian Bum Bum cream – want it so bad since I smelt it in store! I might grab the Q&A toner instead, next time I have the urge to spend. Thank you for sharing.
