New From Dermalogica – Full Face Of First Impressions

I’ve always been a massive fan of Dermalogica, and lately they have had so many amazing new releases that I thought that I would share my thoughts on their new releases and what my first impressions. Dermalogica offers amazing quality skincare that does everything and more, if you have a specific skin concern then they will have something that will work wonders for your skin. So are you ready to find out all about these amazing products?

Active Clay Cleanser

I’ve been using this daily for 2 months, and honestly it is such a gorgeous product. As I have previously mentioned I have combination skin which is also prone to spots, so finding something that doesn’t dry my skin out, but also helps to get rid of the excess oil on my T-Zone really does help. It isn’t a harsh cleanser, and the thing that I love about it the most is the way it makes my face feel once I’ve used it and also leaves my face with a gorgeous glow. I have also noticed that it helps to calm spots that I do have on my face, which is an added bonus.

The cleanser is £35, which may sound pricey, however, their products go such a long way and leaves your skin feeling incredible after you’ve used it.

Retinol Clearing Oil

I’ve been using this nightly for around a week and I’ve noticed how lovely it works on the skin. I have always used an oil in the evening, and since using this I’ve noticed little differences in my skin. The biggest difference that I’ve noticed is the change in the texture of my skin, I get a lot of texture around my nose and my cheeks, so seeing the difference since using this product has been amazing. The other thing I noticed is how much it calms my spots down. Since lockdown I’ve had more break outs than normal and so I’ve noticed that with regular use of this product, the spots are less red and angry.

This serum is £69.00 and I only use a small amount of it and it just melts into the skin and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy afterwards.

Age Bright Clearing Serum

I have loved using this product, and I’ve been using this in the morning to help the massive flare up on my face, and it really has helped. The serum itself is so light, melts into skin and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky afterwards which is amazing. The other thing that I love about this product is it doesn’t irritate my skin, or any existing spots that I may have on my face. It is genuinely a wonderful product. I have noticed that my spots are a lot calmer, and the break outs are soothed. I’ve also noticed that the slight scarring that I do have on the side of my face has started to clear. I can’t wait to see the results after a longer period of time.

This serum is £58.50 and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who struggles with spot prone skin, because you will start to notice a difference in your spots and any break outs that you may have.

Age Bright Spot Fader

I have previously loved on the Clear Start Breakout Clearing Booster, so I had high hopes for this product and so far, this product hasn’t disappointed. I love the way this product is set up with the on and off twist device. The product itself blends into the skin with ease, and calms spots down. The one thing that I have noticed with my continued usage is the redness of my spots, and how much it has been reduced and the way it works to clear any hyperpigmentation that has been left over after a breakout.

The spot fader is £40.50, which for a spot treatment does sound like a lot of money, however it does work absolute wonders on the face, and I’ve noticed how quickly it springs into action. If you use this along with your other spot clearing products, then you will definitely see the results.

I genuinely can’t wait to see the results of continued usage of these products. Even though I’ve noticed small differences in my skin, the way these products work after only over a week of usage, I know that I will be able to see such a difference going forward.

I’d love to hear your thoughts maybe a few months or so also? The price point is a little high for me personally right at this moment, but I’ve always heard great things about their products! xx

  • I don’t have very acne prone skin so I’m not sure if I’d get my money’s worth from these products but the spot fader sounds like an amazing item to just have in your stash for when you need it and want something to clear quickly! x

I haven’t really tried dermalogica products before because they’re usually a bit out of my price range, but that cleanser seems pretty perfect for me – if it ever goes on sale I’ll definitely try and snap it up!

  • I’ve never tried Dermalogica but I’ve heard good things. The spot fader sounds good. I too have had more breakouts than usual with the stress of lockdown and even when my spots fade I seem to have angry patches that make a return.

Thanks for sharing, I hope you’ll let us know how you get on after a month or so of using the products. I really need to invest in some decent skin care.

I love using dermalogica as it is one of the only skincare brands that doesn’t affect my skin. They’re kind to skin and they’re worth the price. Thank you for this review, it is nice to see some of the other products in their range!
