If you read my post a few weeks ago, you will know when it comes to my self confidence it was pretty much at it’s lowest. I was really not feeling it to be honest and any small comment, good, bad or indifferent would literally set me off, I mean I was 100% not in a great head space when it came to my confidence. I actually wrote an entire blog post on that which you can catch up on here and writing that blog post actually gave me such a wake up call, one that I needed.
When I say it gave me a wake up call, a lot of people really did leave me some incredible comments, some that I am honestly so grateful for because they really helped me to just wake up and smell the incredibly strong coffee.
I’ve spent some time working on myself and figuring out where I want to be and more importantly what makes me feel comfortable.
I’ve spent a little bit of time just taking a few moments away from social media, mainly because I feel like sometimes social media can take away from what I’m trying to do, and trying to work on.
So as of lately, I’ve been following my own advice, I’ve been trying to stop comparing myself to others. I mean it is really hard to not compare yourself to others, but lately I’ve been working so hard on just appreciating me!
Not only that I’ve been getting back into my workouts, I literally love working out so much, it calms me, it soothes me and not only that it makes me feel so good when I do it!
I feel like I’ve literally had a rebirth, because I feel like I’m in a much better place, I mean I am not 100%, there are still some things that I need to work on but that is okay.
I’m focusing on the positives more, I’m looking at a more positive outlook, doing what makes me happy and do you know what it feels absolutely amazing.
I think sometimes when you get to your lowest point, I personally found I needed to take a serious moment to just breathe, re-evaluate everything and I’ve done that.
Do I think it will last forever? 100% not, but I know 100% I am willing to work on my confidence everyday, to be where I want to be, to not be going back to feeling so low where it made me seriously emotional.
I need to learn to treat my body and myself like I would my best friend, not put myself down or think I’m not worthy. I just deserve to be happy and my happiness is so important!
What I’m trying to say from this post is if you are feeling super low, you’re struggling, don’t ever give up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Confidence is always a struggle but do you know what it is 100% okay, but you are not alone.
Stay strong.

So glad you are feeling better! Confidence is something I find I go through phases of struggling with it. Happy to see you are looking at the positives of things, something I really need to do. Love these personal posts, I think they are my favourite.

Thank you so much my angel, that means the world to me! xxxx
It’s always a good idea to take some time and focus on you. Confidence is something I struggle with too (I think a lot of us do) and I always find focusing on positives helps. Sometimes feeling like you have hit rock bottom is a good thing, because the only way you can go is up!

I totally agree my lovely! Sometimes you need to get to that point so you can learn to build yourself back up! xxxx
I am SO glad you’re feeling a bit better now and have a more positive outlook on things. I struggle with confidence too which I’m working on but it’s definitely something that’s going to take a while to overcome I think. I’m with you on stepping away from social media sometimes, I find it definitely makes me feel worse if I’m already a little low and it’s far too easy to then compare yourself to other people! x

I know what you mean my lovely, sometimes you need to be away from social media and it just works and makes you focus on yourself and get to the heart of what is causing you to feel that way, but also to work on it! xxxx
thank you for this post.. ive been having a rough few days, i know it wont last forever but its so hard in the thick of it
If there is anything I can do to help you or support you, I’m here! xxxx
So glad you’re feeling better. I have to say my self confidence has been in the toilet for a couple of months. September it going to be my month tho! More positive steps needed for me to self love!
Rosie
I know what you mean, I’m determined to have a wonderful September! xxxx
I love this! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better and more confident. I love how you mentioned you’re trying to not be so hard on yourself, and treat yourself like you would a best friend. That’s something that I’ve also been working on. If I make one tiny mistake it bothers me forever, whereas if a good friend made the same mistake, I wouldn’t think of it, and tell them not to be too hard on themselves. It’s a hard thing to do, but it has been helping me a little bit. Taking a step back from social media also does wonders, and I’m glad to hear that’s been helping you as well! 🙂
I know what you mean, if it is a small mistake I literally go over and over it in my head for ages and it isn’t necessary! It just takes time! xxxx
I’m glad you feel like you’re in a better place now. Confidence has always been something I struggle with so I can completely relate. Sending you lots of love!

So glad you are in a better place with a more positive outlook 🙂 I don’t comment much (working on changing that!) but I want you to know you are one of my fav bloggers and blogging “role models”. I aspire to one day have a blog as lovely as yours.
Oh Michelle, thank you so so much my darling, that really does mean the world to me! Your blog is amazing, and don’t forget that xxxx
I am happy you are feeling better and enjoying life as is! The spread of positivity is one of the best things about blogging!
Thank you so much my lovely! I totally agree my darling! xxxx
So glad you’re feeling much better Amie and you took those steps you knew would help 🙂 I’m so glad writing the last post helped too – blogging is amazing like that! Sometimes just getting your thoughts down and hearing other people’s opinions / stories can work wonders 🙂 xxx
I totally agree, sometimes being able to get your thoughts out, just allows you to process things a bit more! xxx
This is wonderful Amie! Confidence is such a struggle. I’m glad you’re feeling better.

There’s a saying about never comparing your third chapter to everyone else’s 30th and it’s true – we shouldn’t compare because we’re all at different stages. x
I totally agree, it’s definitely hard sometimes though! xxxx
Confidence is something I struggle with too x

It’s so difficult isn’t it? Small steps at a time! xxxx
So glad to read that you are in a much better place now. 🙂 x
Thank you my angel! xxxx
I’m so glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. I definitely struggle with confidence too, and I think you’re right – taking a step back and focusing on yourself is so helpful. It’s so much easier to focus on negatives than the positives, sadly, but a step away from social media always helps me feel a bit better and more grateful for what I have.

It really does help just being able to focus on yourself and gives yourself time to just breathe. Social media can get a bit much sometimes, and breaks really do help! xxxx
So pleased you’re in such a good place! xx

Awh you’re too sweet, thank you angel! xxxx
I’ve taken time away from the blog recently because I haven’t had the confidence to post anything or anything I do write I think is rubbish. I’ve let myself have a month or so off, and it’s been great – I’m ready to go full-steam ahead into new content. It’s great that you’ve taken time out and focused on yourself – definitely something I need to do more.
