6 Ways I’m Making The Most Of This Week

Now it’s pretty safe to say that last week wasn’t a great week for me, in fact that would be putting it mildly. So much so I was kind of intermittent with my social media posts, and generally just staying up to date with everything. I am kind of fully back on social media now, I’ve definitely missed it, mainly because I have so many people that I love on social media and I just want to talk to everyone! Anyway I’m determined to make this week better – so here are 6 ways I’m making the most of this week!
1. Do 2 things to get me one step closer to making my dreams a reality

I’ve got a lot of things that I want to achieve this year, I want this year to be the year where I make my dreams a reality. Now as corny as that may sound, I’m determined to get to where I need to be. Hard work pays off and I know that every moment that I sit here waiting for something amazing to happen it will pass me by. I’m going to take my life into my own hands.

2. Remember to put my own happiness first

I’m always the kind of person that will do everything possible to help others and forget about what I need in life. It’s not selfish to put your own happiness first and it is so important to do what makes you happy for your own personal wellbeing – I’ve learned this a lot this week.

3. Pressure makes everything worse

Yep I’m that person, I feel like I need to get everything done before a certain time, if not I get myself in a right state thinking that I’ll never get it all done, it ends in tears, when in reality I need to give myself a break. Yes things need to get done, but putting pressure on myself won’t motivate me, it will probably stop me from enjoying the things that I love to do.

4. Make time for the people that matter

I have some of the best people around me, and I’ve really noticed that this week, especially when you feel alone, it makes you realise how lucky you are to have so many amazing people around you at difficult times and this week I’m reminding myself to reach out to those people more often, because I’m definitely the one that is guilty of seeing a text and then not replying. (Sorry I’m that friend – I love you really!)

5. Waking up early & appreciating the sunrise

I actually used to do this a lot because it made me feel a lot better and not only that it is the perfect way to start a day isn’t it? Seeing a gorgeous sunrise, the sun shining, it puts everyone in a good mood and not only that I feel like I can get more done when the weather is better!

6. Make a list of things I need to do and not overload myself

Like I said earlier, I’m the kind of person that puts pressure on myself, but this week I’m going to get things done, but not overload myself because let’s be honest, you can’t be productive when you’re worrying about what you need to get done. I’m definitely going to use my expert list making skills this week!

What are you going to do to make the most of your week? Let me know in the comments!

Reading this post really motivated me, especially with what you were saying about point #1. I’m really pushing myself at the moment and it can be a struggle at times, but it’s because I’m doing something every day toward making my dreams reality!

Waking up earlier is definitely something I’m starting to do – but is really hard 😣 I’ve also gotten into the habit of making a to-do list everyday which is good, so I can my sights on what I need to do.

Love this amie! I really need to get my act together and get back on track with things I want to achieve this year. Half the year has already gone and I feel like I’m running out of time. I also get v stressed out by this stuff too.. but you’re right you do need to cut yourself some slack.

Don’t worry too much my lovely, life happens but there is always a chance to get back on track and get what you want to done! You’ve got this my lovely! xxxx

  • Love the idea of trying to wake up earlier. I’m such a night owl that I don’t go to sleep until gone 1am every night – I definitely need to get up earlier so sorting my sleep out is on my ‘to-do’ list 🙂

    • amiecadwallader@outlook.com says:

I used to be the same, I tried to go to bed half an hour earlier each night and that really helped me! xxxx

  • Sammy says:

I really enjoyed this post – and it was so motivating 🙂

I have a HUGE life event happening this week, so my main goal is just to keep myself calm and relaxed. Which for me involves lots of quiet reading time, managing my to-do lists sensibly, and some indulgent self-care as well.
