8 Things I’ve Learned In 3 Years Of Marriage

Completely unsure on how I’ve been married 3 years. Yesterday was our wedding anniversary, we spent it eating the most delicious Indian food at our favourite restaurant and watching our favourite programme in bed. We are also going on a night away on Sunday courtesy of my mum (FYI thanks Mumma Hayward.) Marriage has to be one of the most incredible things to ever happen to me, however I’ve learned a few things over the years, so I decided to open my soul to you in a post.

Always Laugh Together

Now my husband has the worst jokes, and to be honest I can too, his are worse though! Making someone laugh is honestly a way into my soul and knowing that he is there with the worst jokes that make me laugh all of the time makes the days go by quicker. Not only that the fact that I spam him with cat GIF’s is enough to make things a fabulous day for Paul.

Fill your relationship with love and happiness

Now I know it isn’t always going to be a good time, and trust me Paul and I have faced a lot of challenges over the last 7 years that we have been together, however, it’s about filling your time with as many happy moments as possible.

I can share – even my chocolate

Now anyone who knows me knows that when it comes to chocolate and any type of sweet treat I cannot share. Not even a little bit. It’s all mine I tell you. However knowing I can enjoy it with someone else who is just like me honestly makes me smile. I know that’s a bit soppy but it’s true.

Love grows daily

When I first married Paul and you’re in that newlywed bubble, you don’t actually think it can get any better, well it does and it is amazing! Everyday this person who you married, grows, learns new things, inspires you to be a better person and there is honestly nothing better than that.

Being married? I’m having an absolute blast.

Let’s be honest, marriage isn’t all about fancy dinners, getting dressed up. Actually more often than not it is being curled up with a duvet, pj’s on, eating pizza and playing computer games, honestly we are pretty easy going. We make memories by going out together, having fun, and just being us. We have made so many memories together and I honestly cannot wait to see where we get to in the next 70.

This is honestly lovely Amie ❤️. I loved it where you said the person you married inspires you to be a better person everyday. That’s so important in a relationship I think. If someone can bring out the best in you they are worth holding onto 😘 Wishing you a long and happy marriage and thank you for sharing 😍 xx
