Will My Blog Ever Be Good Enough?

I’m the kind of person that struggles with my blog and whether it is good enough, mainly because there ae so many blogs and that is definitely a fabulous thing. I love seeing more people taking up blogging, it’s such a fab thing to do! I think what bothers me the most right now that I referenced on Twitter was the fact that when I go onto BlogLovin and look on the categories and it’s the same blogs! I mean honestly I used to love BlogLovin when I started but lately I’ve honestly fallen out of love with it, because I’m not finding anything new!

I’m the kind of person that loves to follow people that inspire me, that keep me going and keep me wanting to achieve more with my blog! I mean let’s be honest it is one of the best feelings in the world having such good people around you and I love it, but I look at platforms like BlogLovin and I wonder if my blog content will ever be good enough to go be on there?

It’s the worst feeling when you feel like your blog isn’t good enough, or it never will be. I would love to be able to feel so much better about my blog, I mean I’m getting there, I feel like I’m getting my blogging mojo which is amazing (I spoke about that here) but I need some confidence in my ability!

As a blogger I always feel pressure to make sure that my content/photos/Instagram feed/Twitter feed is good enough, that everything is good enough and rather than focusing on the writing and doing what I am enjoying!

There is literally so much competition in the blogging world, people’s photos are literally so damn good I’m like damn I need to up my photography game!

So here’s a little letter to the people who feel like their blogs aren’t good enough.

To you, you fabulous human,

Blogging can be a tough nut to crack, I’m not gonna lie, it’s difficult but do you know what you’re absolutely fabulous! You’re doing an incredible job, your blog is just as fabulous as you are!

Your blog photos are incredible, you are more than enough! I know that sometimes you might go for opportunities and they might turn you down, but do you know what you are not defined by your numbers! Brands should be so lucky to work with you, you are enough, your blog is enough and it will be okay!

You’re an asset to this community and you’re doing an amazing job, I’m proud of you!

What do you think? Leave your response in the comments!

    So uplifting, as always, Amie!

I know what its like to feel that your blog isn’t good enough. But, I’m accepting that I can only manage what I can and I’ll just have to learn from that point on wards.

Love this post! You’re right, now that blogging is all up and coming, there’s a hell of a lot more competition (although I like to think of it as a massive friend community) and, like you said, it’s easy to compare yourself and blog to others who are probably a lot more experienced. I definitely get down about the fact that my blog isn’t as high tech and professional or that my photos aren’t as good – but blogging is my hobby and my passion so I try and tune that into things that I want to improve and I look forward to where I’ll be with blogging in the future and look back on old photos/posts and see how far I’ve come with my content!

Love the little letter of confidence – I love your blog posts and topics and think you’re so inspiring! Keep doing what you’re doing!

I’m with you on that one Josie! The more people there are though, the more people I compare myself to, which is so hard because I want to be able to be the best I can be! Thank you so much for all your comments, it honestly means the world! xxxx

These are thoughts I struggle with too. I love seeing other people doing well, but also have a tendency to feel that I’m not doing enough in terms of my blog, social media, photography, etc. I try to use this in a positive manner, to work out what other bloggers are doing that I might be overlooking. I love that blogging is a constant process of learning and developing. But the perfectionist in me wonders whether I’m developing at all. It’s very reassuring to know that I’m not the only person who feels this way. Xx

I love this post, I believe that a lot of us feel like our photography, topics, or blog design aren’t good enough at times. It’s so important to remember that everything is good enough and we’re doing an amazing job by simply putting in the effort to keep a blog going by posting regularly. Thanks for sharing hun 🙂

Sometimes I feel like I’m literally drowning in a sea of awesome blogs but I try to remember that everyone has a unique voice and there will be room and opportunities for us all if we keep working and writing passionately. Thanks for the confidence boost and all the inspiration. I believe your blog is MORE than enough. Sending some fellow blogger love your way!

Hi there! I have just started my blog; I’ve wanted to start one for ages but I’ve finally just got the confidence to do it!
Reading this is inspiring and encouraging, because like you said, it’s intimidating with the amount of amazing blogs out there – but it’s comforting to know that experienced bloggers like yourself can be worried and self-conscious about it too – thank you! ♥
