5 Pick Me Ups That Always Make Me Smile

We all need a pick me up sometimes, it’s been a busy few weeks, I mean it’s been a wonderful few weeks but sometimes, when you’ve had a busy few weeks you put everything into making sure that you get so much done, you end up running yourself down. I guess it literally all come to a head over the last few weeks and I’m now officially shattered by the whole thing. We all need some pick me ups when we are absolutely exhausted by life just in general, so what helped pick me up?

01. A Cup Of Coffee

Let’s be honest a good cup of coffee goes a long way. It can make a day so much better, it can calm you and it tastes good too. A good cup of coffee makes my day a whole lot better and the other thing is, with caffeine floating around, it means I’m more likely to be in a better mood. I’m one of those people that can’t start my day without some caffeine. Sorry.

02. Time With My Family

Family is what makes the world go, and time with them really does help. It puts everything into perspective and it really helps to refresh, and not only that, when I get a chance to speak to my grandparents, they always tell the best stories. Mainly about my Dad as a kid, and that makes me smile from ear to ear.

03. Harry Potter

Over the bank holiday, I basically told my husband that we were gonna have a binge watch of Harry Potter again, and to me I am so nostalgic, I remember watching the films in the cinema, I remember reading the books. Harry Potter was a massive part of my childhood, and I would literally read the books all the time and I loved the films so much. When Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone came out, I watched it all the time.

04. New Blankets

I’m the ultimate adult, I love new bedding/blankets and I bought myself some new blankets, all ready for the cosy evenings in away from the colder weather. I mean the weather is starting to change, it’s not as warm as it was in the evening and there is a cosy evening surrounded by blankets, fluffy cushions, and my favourite films.

05. My Rabbit

If you didn’t know already, I have the cutest little rabbit in the world, her name is BB-8, and even when I don’t feel particularly positive, she always puts a smile on my face. It is amazing what pets can do for you. They cheer you up, they are there for you, and they have this unconditional love for you. Pets are literally the best!

So what are some of the things that instantly make you smile? Let me know in the comments!
