Lately I’ve been feeling like my blogging bubble has been kinda meh. Last week, I had worked so hard the week before to just take a week off, take some time, obviously I was still about making sure I was commenting on blog posts, scheduling tweets, but just away from the general blog writing, and I did miss it, I’m not gonna lie, but I just felt so disconnected from it. Blogging is something that I am incredibly passionate about, it is something that I love, but I honestly don’t know where my passion has gone?
The thought of writing blog posts has always excited me, I have always been so excited to share my thoughts on certain things, even just to share my feelings on certain things like mental health or just for my brain to basically brain fart into a post. Lately however I’ve just been a bit down about it.
Anyway I think my thoughts have come about from various different things if I’m honest, the fact that I have been ridiculously ill lately hasn’t helped. Not only that with my mental health being an absolute battlefield I have been feeling pretty low about it all.
Blogging is supposed to be fun, it is supposed to be an outlet, so why am I overthinking it so much, why am I thinking that I’m not in the right place with my blog and that I just feel so disconnected?
I think the other thing is with so many bloggers absolutely killing it (honestly if you’re not in the blogosphere and see all the amazing work, take my word for it and check out the people I follow, they’re absolutely incredible!) I wonder whether or not my space in the blogosphere is necessary?
I know that is probably kinda silly because there is a spot for everyone, we all add something different to the blogging world and we all offer something special by just being ourselves.
Blogging has never been easy (I actually wrote a post all about that here if you fancy extra reading material) but it is so important to have the right support around you. Right now I have had some of the best support, and knowing I’m not alone when I feel down about blogging is nice, because then I don’t end up feeling like I’m basically failing at something I love.
So what am I going to do to make things better for me?
To feel like I really need to cut myself some slack. Get back to the mind set I used to have about blogging.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, blogging is basically the same, it takes time to get to where I need my blog to be, but as long as I am working hard at my content, posting stuff that I believe in and reflects who I am, that is all that matters.
My space in the blogosphere is perfect, I have the best people around me, people who support me unconditionally and who know me better than most. Those are the kinds of people you need. When it comes to blogging and you feel down about it, disconnected or just feel like giving up, take a break, a massive step back, have a cuppa and chill your boots.
Sometimes we need to get knocked down to our lowest to get to where we need to be, and that is where I am right now. I plan on working harder than ever to get back to the way I used to feel about blogging!

I’ve been feeling the same way recently. That’s probably why I took a 2 month break. I just didn’t know where I fit in, if I was really needed but then I remembered who I was blogging for, me. I did it because I enjoyed it. I love writing. Theres so much pressure we put on ourselves to be the best that we can be and sometimes we just need to take a step back and realise why we started blogging in the first place. Your blog is personally one of my favourites, so don’t stop now!
Taking breaks is very important, I have posts backed up so I think I might take a little break just to get me back to the right frame of mind! Thank you so much angel, I really appreciate it! xxxx
I know exactly how you feel. I feel very disconnected at times and a great can help x
I think a break is something I’m definitely going to do, I think it is needed right now! xxxx
I’m so happy that you wrote a blog post like this babe because I can relate to it so much. Thank you for sharing 🌸✨

I’m glad I’m not alone in my feelings darling! xxx
Whenever, wherever, I will always be there for you babe!! XXX
I love you so much! You’re such an amazing friend xxxx
I always say that as soon as blogging isn’t fun, you need to take a step back and assess. Which it sounds like you did. Having a bad mental health period can severely affect my blogging too. Your blog will always be there to welcome you back honey!
Thank you so much angel, I appreciate it, I’m just trying to get some balance in my life, and remind myself of the reason I started and remember that blogging is fun and to enjoy every moment! xxxx
I definitely go through phases where I lose my passion for blogging, but it’s usually due to my anxiety and depression, but now that I’ve chosen to blog about the very things that hold me back, they no longer do! You’ll find your path soon. Just be patient with yourself.
xoxo,
Harley

I know what you mean, I’m just going with the flow and doing my thing. Thank you so much angel, I really appreciate it! xxxx
I can completely relate to this babe, as you probably know as that’s why I took a year off. But just know that I love you LOADS – both as a friend and a blogger, I look up to you so much and you inspire me daily. And I know for a fact there a lot of others who think the same! xo

Thank you so much angel, the feeling is 100% mutual, I think I’m just in a funk with blogging, I’m working on getting myself out of it though! xxxx
This is so relatable, not only in terms of blogging, but life in general. Sometimes when I’m feeling off I just sit down to write out what is bothering me and then I finish out with a little pep talk and talk about what I’m going to do to help myself. I wish you luck with finding the passion for blogging again. Your blog is amazing and I really hope you are able to take a break from it if that is what you need to feel refreshed. We all support you!

Thank you so much sweetheart, I really appreciate it angel! It’s just one of those things, I’ll get there eventually! xxx
I lose my mojo all the time with blogging, I keep falling in and out of love with it. There’s space for everyone, but I do understand the feeling about getting down.

I think we all have those moments, but just take it one day at a time! xxxx
I can relate to this post because I, too, sometimes feel that way. I believe that every blogger out there has felt like this several times and I agree that taking a break is necessary, and then go online again and create wonderful blog posts ^^💫 Thank you for sharing this, Amie!

Thank you angel! I have had a little break and I feel a lot better to be honest! xxxx
Sometimes it’s hard to sit down and write something.
But reading other bloggers blog posts and just going and doing something different always inspires me.

Other bloggers are incredible for support and being inspired to continue with the blogging world! xxxx
Oh I totally get you! And I get the dilemma as I struggle with it myself – then again, think most of us do. It is so easy to compare ourselves to others and measure our worth and our work by the successes they have. And it can be disheartening but I know that I can’t sell myself out and be someone that I am not to even attempt to reach the heights others do. And I do also struggle with writers block – just gotta keep reminding me that I write for me and people like me and that it should be FUN. Got to find the fun again in 2019 🙂 All the best for the next year!
Amen to that Sanna! You put that perfectly! xxxx
I relate to this so much. My attitude towards blogging can change on a daily basis. I think it’s important to remember that you can take a break whenever you want to, change your blog to suit you at all times. Just do what feels natural x
