Blogging is such a creative and competitive industry to be in, there are so many incredible blogs out there and seeing so many bloggers getting these incredible opportunities I’m like a little cheerleader on the side feeling mega proud of this incredible community. I’ve learned so much through blogging, which has opened some seriously amazing doors for me and I am going to share these things I have learned with you!
1. Always be honest
Now I’ve always bee honest in my blog posts, I have never lied about a review, a post or anything like that, but transparency in blogging is beyond important. When I first started a company asked me not to disclose a sponsored post, I never went for it, I made it clear I would never go for it. The rules are that you disclose a post and you’re honest in your review of anything.
2. Stats aren’t everything
I actually wrote a post on it not so long ago about statistics, especially page views and honestly they’re not. I know when you log onto your blog the first thing you probably see is the stats, but they don’t determine how fabulous your blog is!
3. Share the love
I love my blogging family, they’re the people who keep me strong & not only that they are the people who make my blog what it is. These people mean the absolute world to me and I’m beyond grateful for everything that they have done for me.
4. Blog with your heart and soul
When I write a blog post I put everything I physically can into it, my heart, my soul, my everything. I try so hard, and not all the time does it pay off, sometimes it goes really well, and other times it doesn’t and it’s one of those things you just have to accept!
5. Don’t stress so much
So what if you didn’t post on the scheduled day? Yes I know it is easier said than done, and trust me I get it because it is easy to stress but I promise you that one day won’t change anything, you can post it another day. Honestly the stress isn’t worth it!
6. Comparison will kill your creativity
Lately I went through a phase where I was constantly comparing my blog to others thinking what am I doing wrong? Why are my posts not as good as others? Comparing yourself to others seriously doesn’t help, You’re fabulous, you’re incredible, and don’t ever feel like you’re anything less than that!
These are somethings that are beyond important in blogging because it is such an amazing community and not only that you should enjoy every moment of it, even if it is your job. You should still enjoy it!

Such great points – I’m definitely guilty of stressing too much about the smallest of things sometimes and thinking about my stats too much. We all started doing this because we loved it, and we just need to remember it more often! x
Exactly! It’s so easy to get caught up with stats but we are all doing such an amazing job, we should learn to enjoy it! xxxx
This outlook actually changed the way i look at blogging,in a positive way though.I think after a few months after i started mine i started to feel pressure to be constantly pushing content out and now i just dont.I honestly don’t see the point in publishing something that I wouldn’t be interested in reading.I deleted loads of crap and im just working on it for myself really.I dont get hardly any views, but im cool with that.I blog because its fun and you make friends through mutual interests too xx
My darling that is the most important thing in the world! Publish when you want to, we all support you regardless! xxxx
Such great tips!
Thank you lovely! xxxx
Great tips here Amie, it’s important to remember why we blog and not get caught up in everything else! x
Definitely, I know I’m always guilty of worrying about my stats, but I’m doing what makes me happy and that is so important! xxxx
I completely agree with all of these! Especially how comparison is the thief of joy. Blog because you love it! I recently rekindled my love of blogging and it’s back to being enjoyable, less like homework.
Most definitely so important, I am definitely blogging because I love it and want to share what I love more than anything in the world! xxxx
yes!! comparison is the worst!!!!!! i really used to beat myself up and now i dont ! it’s liberating!!!
It’s definitely the best feeling when you don’t compare yourself anymore! You are fabulous in every way darling! xxxx
As someone who pretty much just starting out with blogging this was really great to read; I’m trying very hard not to stress about it!
