5 Programmes To Watch This Weekend

Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime have pretty much broken my ability to watch a programme one episode at a time. There are some incredible programmes right now on so many streaming services that we all really need to enjoy and get lost in, so if you’re looking for some new programmes to watch, I’ve got you covered.

Unforgotten

Paul and I have absolutely loved every series of Unforgotten and the newest series which you can re-watch on ITV Hub is just as amazing. If you’ve never watched Unforgotten, then it revolves around Cassie and Sunny investigating historical murder cases. Some of the cases are honestly so hard to watch, but the way they are written, the cast, it is done so well, you are hooked instantly & you don’t want it to end.

I adore Nicola Walker and Sanjeev Bhaskar, they have such a connection on screen and they really do bring everything to life on screen.

Parks and Recreation

If you’re looking for a programme to make you smile then Parks and Recreation will be on your must watch list. It follows Leslie Knope who wants to make her town beautiful, and help a nurse turn an abandoned construction site into a park. But there are multiple hurdles that she will need to jump through and obstacles to avoid to get the project done.

I absolutely love this programme, and it is so funny and heart warming, you will enjoy it so much! Not only that some of my best quotes come from this series.

Bridgerton

Yep you’ve guessed it, I’ve jumped on the Bridgerton band wagon. The show is a period drama set in England that follows the Bridgerton family as they go through life, love, and scandals. Even though the programme is cheesy and predictable, it is everything that I needed to watch. It makes you smile, it warms your heart, and it is the perfect programme to binge watch this weekend! I’m also looking forward to the new season!

Big Little Lies

I’d seen so many great reviews on this programme, and the cast in this is incredible. This programme follows 5 women who have seemingly perfect lives, but as the series continues, their lives begin to unravel. The five women, are caught up in a murder investigation and you will be hooked from the first 5 minutes of watching this programme. It is gripping, heart pumping, funny and just incredible. You will love watching this.

You

This has literally been the biggest hit in recent years, and it stars Penn Badgley! So for any Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars fans, you will see some familiar faces throughout. I’ve got to be honest, it is very dark in places, but the way that it is written and the casting is amazing. Hopefully the new season will be later this year, and there is no doubt in my mind that it will be just as amazing!
