6 Things Other Bloggers Have Taught Me

Blogging has been one of the greatest journey’s I’ve ever been on, I’m not going to lie though, it has been a rollercoaster of emotions, however it has all been worth it. Along the way I have learned so much about myself, what I can do, how much of a badass (not to toot my own horn or anything) I am and exactly what I’m capable of. Blogging is such an incredible journey, and being in such a wonderful community it has really taught me a lot about myself, so here are 10 things bloggers have taught me over the years!

1. Practice and you will improve

Honestly this applies for so much within blogging, the quality of my blog posts, how my photos have improved and just my overall outlook. Practice really does help you improve, I’ve looked over a lot of my old blog posts and I think wow Amie look how far you’ve come! The amazing thing about blogging is the fact that you can look back on everything and see all of the incredible improvements that you have made over that time and how much you have grown as a blogger!

2. To challenge your comfort zone

Blogging was so far out of my comfort zone, I mean when I started I had no idea I was doing, I just thought, I’ll start this little blog, put my thoughts and feelings out there, do my thing and it paid off. It challenged me, pushed my boundaries and showed me exactly what I could do. Blogging is hard, but it was all worth it.

3. You are enough

Sometimes I always worried that I was never enough when it came to blogging I mean of course I am, but I sometimes didn’t believe that. When you’re a very small fish in a pond the size of the ocean it is bloody tough.

4. You don’t need to have a schedule

Not sticking to a schedule doesn’t mean that you’re a bad blogger, I mean life gets in the way, you don’t have to have a schedule. You should always do what is best for you, if you can’t blog, don’t want to blog or you just need to get your head together, do your thing, blogging will still be there when you come back.

5. When you feel like blogging is all too much, the community will be there for you

The blogging community has honestly done so much for me, I mean when I don’t feel like blogging anymore, they still keep me strong, they keep me motivated. These are the people you need in your life. They have so much wisdom & their incredible posts always make me strive for more.

6. You’re an amazing blogger & person

There have been many days where I have honestly felt like I was a pretty rubbish blogger, but in all honesty I work really hard at my blog, and I a good blogger. I’m passionate about what I do and honestly I adore blogging so much! Little wake up calls from other bloggers is always important!

I have learnt that not everyone is the same in the blogger community. It seemed that way to me at the start and it seemed crazy, but some people managed to help me out of that mind set!

I do, I think we all need little reminders of things we have learned from other bloggers! xxxx

  • Beatrice says:

Aw I love this! For me, what I’ve learned would definitely also be that practice makes you better. I felt hesitant about diving into blogging for a long time because I felt like I wasn’t good enough. Something that helped was scrolling to the beginnings of popular blogs or popular Instagrams to see how they started, not in a mean-spirited way at all, but just to see how much improvement is possible and how much better I could get if I just stuck with it like they did, ya know? Happy Sunday!

I need to challenge my comfort zone, and this is something you seem to do so effortlessly. I love reading all your posts and you’re right, the blogging community does help motivate you. Even reading someone else’s post can spark an idea and give you inspiration. I haven’t been in the best of mental headspaces recently, so I don’t blog as often as I probably should, but I’m not giving myself any pressure to do so – it’s my little space on the Internet, and I can add to it as often or little as I like. Thanks for sharing this!
