Lately I’ve probably been the worst friend known to man, I mean I’m not even kidding, I love my friends more than anything but I’m definitely a bad friend right now. Lately with life, I’ve been trying to attempt to juggle about 5000 things, keep up to date with the blog, spend time with my family, be a good daughter/daughter in law, pay all of my bills, get a decent amount of sleep where I don’t wake up like a bear with a sore head. Being an adult is ridiculous sometimes, I mean seriously the amount you have to juggle.
I like to think of myself as a good friend, at least that is what I think. I like to think that I’m the friend that you can call up in the middle of the night, have a rant and a cry session, share screenshots of what is going on in life and the kind of friend that you can rely on. Those are the kinds of things that I like to think that I am anyway – whether or not that is the case, well you’ll have to ask my friends.
Right now though I feel like I’ve kind of been forgetting about my friends, I love my friends so much, but I’ve been such a bad friend!
I get a message, I know not to read it so I just swipe it away because leaving my phone flashing drives me absolutely loopy. I think oh I’ll read it later. Later never comes. People will tag me in stuff on Facebook (sorry Mum) and I don’t react. I mean not because I don’t care and they’ve made the effort, but lately my phone and I are going into time out.
Listen to this though, my dad texted me the other night, forgot to reply, he rings me the next day worried because he knows I’m glued to my phone, he thought something was wrong.
I literally cannot be trusted to even answer my phone and reply to a text.
I am that friend.
I feel like it has been forever since I spoke to my blogger friends too, I feel like I haven’t been as supportive as I should have been and I do feel super guilty.
There is a reason as to why I am actually writing this post, I feel like blog posts give me accountability, they make me accountable for my actions and make me aware that I need to work on it.
I’ve got the best friends both in real life and in the blogging world, and I feel like to be honest I need to work on maintaining those friendship.
So if you’re reading this, you’re one of my friends – this one is for you.
I’m going to work harder on being a better friend, make sure I message you as least once a week, that I check up on you and that I’m there for you. If you haven’t heard from me, literally give me the biggest nudge, spam me with all the messages because honestly I’m just crap at replying.
Sorry for being a bit of a crap friend lately, I am still around, I haven’t forgotten you I promise!

Like what you’ve read? How about we become social media friends?

It’s alright to turn off sometimes, I often ignore text messages because I’ve got other things going on – it’s worthwhile not being glued to our phones for once 🙂

I know what you mean sometimes you can’t help but forget when so much is going on! xxxx
Awh you shouldn’t apologise for putting yourself first. I’m sure your friends know, especially with posts like this, that it’s no intentional <3
I know, I always feel guilty though! xxxx
Oh babe, sending you so many hugs. Please know that everyone feels like this sometimes (I for one had a meltdown yesterday because of this feeling), you’re an awesome friend and I adore you. 🌸✨

Thank you so much my lovely xxxx
I am that friend at the moment too. I truly believe, though, that the real friends will stick by you while you put them on the back burner. We aren’t doing it to be malicious or lazy we just have 2737373 other things going round in our heads!!
Most definitely, I don’t do it to be mean or anything, just my head is literally all over the place! xxxxx
We all go through ups and downs and it’s totally normal.
I’m sure nobody thinks you’re a bad friend.

I know I just always feel so guilty, life has so many ups and downs! xxxx
MATE! I am this person too – like I swear I do this all the time and feel so bad. I never mean to ignore messages, I just get so caught up in my hectic life! x
I totally get what you mean my lovely, it is so hard to juggle everything! xxxx
This happens to me too! But I feel like my friends are so understandable, because we all live busy lives. My best friend and I forget to reply to eachother for days, and then pick up right where the conversation left off. My boyfriend finds it hilarious!
My best friend and I do the same, it’s just an automatic reaction! xxxxx
I’m this friend too sometimes! It can be tough especially when there’s tons going on in your life x
I know what you mean, being an adult can be so hard sometimes! xxxxx
I feel like that I’m terrible at keeping in touch with people. I just feel so exhausted all the time.
I’m the same right now, I’m exhausted by everything, I really need to make more of an effort! xxxx
Oh, this was a sweet post, and I completely understand how that can be. Life is exhausting on its own, but with my depression and anxiety, I tend to really take a mental hit and kind of just shut down. It also makes me feel really guilty as well, but it’s important to remember that sometimes just working on you is really important, and it is okay.
I’m the same my darling, I tend to shut myself away and that I find sometimes makes it worse for my mental health xxxxx
juggling all these balls, something is bound to get dropped occasonally, im sure everyone understands
I know, it’s just one of those things where you feel guilty about it! xxx
It’s OK to put yourself first, your true friends will be there for you when you get back – if not, then they’re not worthy of your friendship. That’s just my opinion. Take all the time out you need.

I totally agree my lovely, thank you so much! xxxx
Aw you sound like a wonderful soul, and a great friend. I can have days, if not weeks, when I cant keep up with everyone and everything. My juggling is shocking. But, just like you, it doesn’t mean I love them any less, I just haven’t managed to keep all my plates spinning that particular week. Don’t be so hard on yourself 🥰 you’ve got this x
