Lately the blogger guilt has been strong, I haven’t been motivated to post, I haven’t had much of a chance to take new blog photos and I feel like I’m failing as a blogger. I have always said that my blog is my outlet, and finding the time when I get home from work has been an absolute struggle. I have said before that balance is definitely not my forte, I tend to take on way too much just in general and then wonder why I end up with severe exhaustion – it’s a quirk that I have to bear.
I have been feeling so guilty lately that I haven’t been uploading as much as I used to, I’ve not been supporting the people I love as much as I used to – and it isn’t because I don’t want. I’ve just had way too much going on, that I’ve been prioritising everything else before my blog, it’s mainly been sleep, time with my husband and food if I’m honest.
I did briefly speak about this in a post, but I’m going to go in depth on how I’ve been dealing with the blogger guilt.
The fact that I haven’t had anything to upload especially to Instagram has been tough, mainly because my engagement is in the bin and I don’t mind, I’m no longer worrying about whether I’m going to get a certain amount of likes on a photo, whether it fits my theme or whether people will like it. I’m uploading because I genuinely enjoy my photos. . I’m literally uploading what I have because I enjoy it. I’ve taken all of the pressure off myself and it is doing wonders for my overall health.
Uploading to my blog.
My blog is literally my baby. I have watched it grow, have various overhauls, a change in photos, a change in posts, an improvement in posts and I’m not ready to give it up. I’m not going to. I’ve cut down on the amount of times I’m uploading a week – it was 3 times a week, but I genuinely cannot keep up. I need a bit of a break.
I’m lucky that I have quite a few back up posts when I genuinely don’t feel like uploading which makes my life a lot easier and gives me a bit of a break, and when I am on annual leave I tend to write a few posts so I’m not writing all the time. I have also been writing at the weekend.
I have noticed that not uploading as much as helped with my creativity with writing. I don’t necessarily have the photos just yet, but I have the posts, sometimes the writing is the hardest part for me because I can’t always get the words out. That is mainly when I’m super tired, so stringing together a sentence that actually makes sense can be difficult.
So what is next for my blog?
Well I’m still here, I’m still writing, I’m still uploading and I’m not giving up. I’m just prioritising what is necessary to keep my mental health in check.
I’m going to try and support people as much as I physically can, whether it is sharing their small business, a quick RT or just by reading. Blogging is still my passion, I’m just not uploading as much.
This post was a little bit of a chatty post, mixed with what is going on and how I’m feeling.

If you need a break lovely, just take a break! I started uploading posts less frequently this year and it did me the world of good! I was pushing out 3 posts a week for the whole of 2018 and I knew that there was no way I could continue to do that this year! xx

We love reading your posts but it’s much better for you to post something you’ve taken the time to writer and enjoyed, rather than something that’s been rushed for the sake of it! Quality > quantity. Your mental health comes first always; never feel guilty for not posting. Your readers will always be here waiting! There’s absolutely no pressure x
I’m definitely experiencing blogger quilt right now even though I’m recovering from eye surgery x
I’m like this a lot of the time and when I do feel like posting, it’s usually late at night when I haven’t got the time – go figure! I used to stress about posting to my blog a lot because of seeing other people churn out 3 posts or more a week but then I remind myself it’s all about the quality, not the quantity. I think doing what feels and works the best for you is the way to go. 🙂

Blogger guilt can be hard. But it’s so important to prioritize your mental health!
I always feel bad if I don’t post regularly but I do what I can and at the end of the day for me it’s just a hobby xx
I really suffer from blogger guilt at times. It’s always best for me to take a step back and leave my phone away so that I am not seeing anything and then come back refreshed when I am ready!

Always take a break when you need one! Amazing post, it’s so honest. Keep writing x
I relate so much with this. That was the main reason I’ve had a hiatus from April till mid July. I was sick of the stress I was putting on myself and I wasn’t happy with my content.
A break was so needed and I’m trying hard to take a more relaxed approach and blog at least once a week. It’s hard to juggle life I find and there’s definitely not enough hours in a day.
