6 Reasons I’m Grateful For Blogging

Blogging has bought me so much in my life, I honestly don’t think I could ever put into words how grateful I am for the amazing journey it has put me on. Anyone who blogs will probably agree with me when I say that blogging can be an absolutely amazing opportunity, you have this incredible outlet where you get to speak to people who have similar interests and just be in a group of people that inspire you everyday.

I have to admit when I first started blogging I was going into it completely blind, I had no idea what was going on, what I had to do or anything. SEO? What’s that was basically what was going on in my blogging life when I first started. But it’s honestly been one of the best learning curves of my life

The Community – I love this community, I really do. I am honestly so grateful for everything that this community has done for me. If you’re part of The Girl Gang which Jemma aka the babe behind Dorkface created this incredible community of positivity, support and everything. The chats on a Monday are honestly the light of my week, people are just beyond kind, caring and genuine, I’m so grateful for this amazing community Jemma has created.

Friends – Oh gosh I’ve made some fabulous friends over the years I’ve been blogging, one happened to be right under my nose in my home town! How mad is that?! Yes Amanda I’m taking about you angel. The friends that you make in blogging literally get the hard work you put in, the long nights, the struggle with scheduling tweets, basically the daily struggles of a blogger. My friends that don’t blog totally get how difficult blogging is, but when you speak to people who are blogging they feel your pain.

Learning New Things – I’ve learned so much through blogging, my photography has improved, I’ve learned all about photo editing, and not only that I’ve learned a hell of a lot about SEO. To be honest, there is still a lot I need to learn, I’m learning everyday, but through blogging it’s like you’re learning on the go. Looking back at when I wrote my first post, honestly I think I’ve come so far, I’ve stayed pretty true to myself, just a little more refined!

A Sense Of Achievement – Every time I post a blog post, it can be about anything, I feel such a sense of achievement from that. I know that I have worked so hard on a post, I have put everything I can into a post, with the pictures, the writing, everything, I know I have put 100% into it and it is the best feeling in the world.

Confidence – I’ve definitely had a massive confidence boost when it comes to blogging. I feel like I have finally found something that I am good at, that helps me to express who I am as a person and be able to support other amazing people at the same time. I’ve been taking more full length photos of me too, which I never would have done probably about a year ago, I definitely feel a lot more confident just in myself!

An Improvement In My Mental Health – I have had a well documented struggle with mental health, whether it is anxiety, depression, agoraphobia, I’ve struggled. I’ve not tried to hide it, but there has been a massive improvement in my mental health. I’m not saying that I won’t have good and bad days, I will, but I’m making positive steps forward to get better and just try not to let anything hold me back anymore.

Aww this is the cutest post ever – it is quite easy to be negative about blogging especially when Instagram is being a pain lol but it definitely does go a long way in bringing about a sense of achievement and creating a wonderful community. Thank you for sharing this Amie!

Blogging makes you feel part of something! And I couldn’t agree more about helping your mental health, I recently started taking my blog more seriously again after a long period of my mental health being pretty horrific and suffering in silence with it, feeling more like myself and I hugely put that down to blogging ??
