8 Things I Wish I’d Done In My Teens

Your teen years can be some of the best times of your life right? And as we get older we look back at those years, maybe with regrets, maybe with happiness, or maybe something totally different. Teen years for a lot of people were tough, and in many ways we learn so much through that time, but I was the kind of person that honestly stressed way too much through that time, I try to stress a little less now, but what do I wish I had done during my teen years?

1. Focus On A Few Good Friends 

I was the kind of person that wanted to get on with everyone at school, I had lots of amazing friends and friends that I still love to this day, however I wish I had kept my friendship group small, to the people that I could talk to all day, have a laugh with, rely on and just be myself with. Those are the types of friends that you want in your life.

2. I Wish I’d Looked After My Body More

When I was a teen I went through a phase where I wasn’t looking after my body as much as I probably should have done, I didn’t eat like I loved myself and I didn’t drink properly. Your body should be your best friend, you need to look after it.

3. I Wish I’d Embraced The Moment More

It’s amazing how quickly life goes by isn’t it? Embracing the moment is such an important thing and not only that those moments are what get you through the good times. I wish I had just learned to live in the moment, enjoy it and to not worry!

4. I Wish I’d Not Tried So Hard To Fit In

I am the kind of person that wanted to be friends with everyone, but I thought I would need to change myself when in reality, I should have just been myself. If people didn’t like me, that should have been okay. No more, no less.

5. I Wish I’d Stood Up To The People Who Bullied Me

I know this sounds like the kind of thing that not many people would do but I wish I had done. Even telling people what was going on, but instead I would suffer in silence. If someone is bullying you, tell someone, stand up for yourself. Not physically like violence, but do something about it. You’re fabulous.

6. I Wish I’d Appreciated My Body More

Like I said above I wish I’d looked after my body more, however I hated my body during my teen years, I hated on it so much, I treated my body like my worst enemy and it was so wrong of me. Now however I am learning to treat my body so much better.

7. I Wish I’d Put Myself First

I’m the kind of person that always tries to be there for others as much as physically possible! My friends mean the absolute world to me, they really do as does my husband so I wanted to make sure I was there no matter what. I wish I’d made more time for myself and made myself number 1!

8. I Wish I Made More Time For Family

Family means the world to me, it really does, they are some of the best people in the world, and I  think that sometimes if I had made more time for family things would be very different. Maybe not, but you never know. It’s that kind of what if kind of situation for me.

    Aww, what a sweet post Amie!I feel you in the most of them!Looking back I wish to stand up for myself back then and just don’t care about others opinions so much because years later none of them will really care anymore haha What can I say!We were young and view things differently!Thank god we grew up, we change and look at us now <3
