How Blogging Gave Me The Confidence To Embrace Myself

Blogging has done so much for me in so many ways, it has opened new doors, heled me to become this strong warrior person that I genuinely never thought I was, and not only that helped me to understand myself. That might sound really strange because surely after almost 24 years I would be able to know who I am and what I am capable of, alas that was not the case with me, I was still trying to figure that out. Oops.

There are so many amazing people in the blogging world, people who help me to just be me, and explore more things about myself that I never knew possible. The blogging world allows you to do that and just be yourself!

Blogging really does allow yourself to be pushed out of your comfort zones, that might sound like it is normal but you’re learning new things everyday, experiencing new things and trying to keep up with the blogging world just in general. It might sound easy, but it isn’t!

I have so much appreciation for what the blogging world has done for me, one thing that I definitely am grateful for is the fact that it has helped me to embrace my body.

There are so many body positive warriors in the blogging world regardless of your size or your body shape, you’re beautiful. That is something I have struggled so much with because I used to think that to be beautiful you had to be a certain size, which to be quite honestly is absolute rubbish.

Beauty knows no shape or size, beauty is both inside and out, this is something that I know not only myself but a lot of people need to remember.

Being plus size there are so many labels that people use for you, it is actually heartbreaking because people will automatically believe that you’re unhealthy just by looking at you which is 100% not the case.

Blogging has given me the confidence to stand up for myself, to not let anyone bring me down and to show everyone that I will stand up for everything that I believe in.

It has made me a stronger person and to appreciate all of the friends that I have made through blogging because they’re honestly some of the most amazing people.

What has blogging taught you? Have you learned anything new about yourself? Let me know in the comments!

I loved reading this! I feel the same in a certain way, I feel like my confidence has improved so much since I started blogging, it’s incredible, I feel much more comfortable in my own skin now and I used to be really self-conscious. Of course I still have some insecurities but I’m getting there & it looks like you’re getting there too, which is awesome!
I’m thinking of writing something along this on my blog, would you mind that? 🙂 I hope you have a lovely day!
