8 Small Slices Of Happiness

Now most people will know lately I’ve been in a really good place, and with depression it can be really difficult to just find those days where you’re just in such a good head space. Lately there have been more and more of those days and honestly I feel like a brand new person, not that the person before was a bad person, but I feel refreshed. However, I decided to write this post for a reason, it’s because not everyone is feeling happy right now and this post is for the people who aren’t feel that happy or positive right now. Where can you find small slices of happiness?

One. Go for a walk in nature

Walking in nature is one of the greatest feelings in the world, hearing all the birds in the trees, the sunshine beating down on my head, sunglasses on and just appreciating the beautiful world that is out there.

Two. Find a workout you love

Workouts are honestly my source of happiness, they keep me going and make me feel so much better in general, getting those endorphins going literally helps so much.

Three. Make memories with the people you love

Life is way too short and it is ridiculously important that you make those beautiful memories with the people that you love because you don’t know what is around the corner!

Four. Wake up early and watch the sun rise

The other day if you saw my Twitter or Insta Stories, the you will see that I watched the sunrise, and honestly it was the most beautiful thing. It set my day up just perfectly!

Five. Buy a diary

Diaries are such a good thing to do, especially if you write down all the beautiful memories and happy moments that you have, it allows you to look back on all the moments that you might have forgotten about.

Six. Change your sheets

This might sound strange but there is no better feeling than crawling into clean sheets, and curling up with a good book and getting away from the world.

Seven. Pamper yourself

We all deserve good pamper time, looking after yourself is the best feeling in the world, whether you’re a guy or a girl pampering yourself is an absolute must. A face mask, a bath bomb, anything that makes you feel good.

Eight. Appreciate everything you have

This might sound so simple but it is so important for people to appreciate everything that they have! We spend so much time focusing on the things that we don’t have and that brings us down, but it’s important to focus on what we do have because we are so lucky and so blessed!

    It’s great to hear you’re in a good place now and I hope things continue to get better for you!
    I love all of the points you’ve mentioned but particularly exercise. I feel like not enough people actually understand how helpful exercise can be when you’re dealing with mental illness or even if you’re just having a bad day or are frustrated at something. It hurts and it’s sweaty but it leaves you feeling so good afterwards (although your muscles may resent you for a day or so).

    I happy to hear you’re feeling better. Going for walks is my number one solution. Also, I love to work in cafes just to get a change of scenery.
