Are We Addicted To Social Media?

Social media has been taking up so much of my time lately but do you know what I love it! I previously talked about taking time off from social media because honestly it can take up so much of our time and life we honestly can forget that there is a life outside of our mobile phones (and you can check out the post here!) So am I honestly addicted so social media, are we addicted to social media and if we are, what are the signs?

One. Forever looking for the perfect Instagram worthy shot to post that fits your feed. That has been me recently I’ve been looking for the perfect shots to post, and make sure that I keep up to date with posting!

Two. Making the people you love wait to eat or drink because you want to make sure that you get the photo that you need before it is all completely ruined!

Three. Forever worrying about whether or not you’re going to go over the amount in your data package because you can’t help but keep refreshing Twitter because you need to keep up with the blogging world.

Four. I’m constantly clearing off my phone for room because I am always either taking photos or downloading more apps, or transferring photos between my phone and my Olympus Pen. Oh the blogger struggles right?

Five. Buying a portable phone charger because you live your life on your phone and the battery just dies in about 3 hours.

Six. Waking up and the first thing you check is Twitter because you want to make sure that you haven’t missed loads overnight.

Seven. Always looking for the perfect flowers to go in your Instagram post, because you need all the prettiness!

Eight. Having 10 different apps on your phone to edit blog photos because you want to get them perfect!

Nine. Looking through old school friends social media because you’re wondering what is going on, what have they been doing with their life.

Ten. You leave your phone for 10 minutes and end up having 15 notifications on Twitter, 10 emails and you need to respond as soon as possible.

Eleven. When social media doesn’t work properly and you feel like it will never come back online and  you’re lost without it.

Twelve. Going shopping and you see some amazing blog prop and you try to figure out if you really need another one.

Thirteen. Having back up photos on VSCO cam to make sure that on the day when I need them the most I have something!

Fourteen. Worrying that you’re going to come across in the wrong way in a tweet and end up offending someone!

Fifteen. Saving lots of hashtags on your phone notes because you want to make sure you don’t forget.

Sixteen. Worrying about not being able to take photos because the natural lighting is absolutely shocking!

All of these are 100% me. I do these all of the time, and I honestly think I will forever be addicted to social media, it is one of the most useful things ever and I have met some of the greatest people through it!

Have I missed anything? Leave your response in the comments!

Yessssss! Relate to this on every level, I actually used to wake up in a mood if it was dark and horrible weather cos i had so much on my to do list and thought everything would look rubbish i would just think i give up now lol ! I also need to get a portable charger because my phone is glued to me in the morning before work, lunch time and home from work until i go to bed lol. I do take a bit more time to myself now though as it started getting way too much, i couldn’t even sit and watch a programme with my husband without being on my phone. love this post!!!

16 is definitely me, I got new hair yesterday and didn’t get home till it was dark. I stressed the lighting wouldn’t be good enough to show it off!

I definitely run my phone’s battery down much faster since I got into using social media! So far I’m doing quite well at not letting it take over completely and having some downtime too. I do often wait to eat so that I can take pictures first though. Just done it with my breakfast this morning!
