10 Things You Get Excited About When You’re An Adult

I feel like I am absolutely ageing by the day, I feel like any day I will be drawing out my pension, but right now I feel like I have hit the peak of adulthood, for a lot of reasons to be honest! I have always been worried about growing older, I feel like even though I am getting older I’m not actually growing up! I have found that the things that I used to believe were absolutely boring as a teen I have absolutely fallen in love with! So what are some of the things that I get so excited about now I am an adult?

1. New bedding – Honestly there is nothing better than shopping for new bedding! It is one of the most exciting things ever, especially when you’ve just washed it and it has that gorgeous just washed scent!

2. New cookware – I love new cookware, especially muffin tins, my mum bought me some for my recipes and I’ve never been so excited!

3. Sleep spray – I have a lot of trouble sleeping and lately I’ve been using a lavender scent spray on my pillow which honestly helps me relax and sleep.

4. The perfect shaped bowls – This might sound like a strange one, but when you’re trying to get good Instagram photos, having the perfect bowl makes it so much easier to get the best photo!

5. Cushions – I’m obsessed with cushions, I literally have so many I could build a cushion fort but having a variety of colours to match different coloured sheets!

6. A lint roller – I have one of these mainly because my in laws have 2 gorgeous cats and bobbles and cat hair get everywhere! Cute lint rollers can be bought in Tiger!

7. Photo frames – I love having so many photos around so when I find gorgeous photo frames I always feel the need to find somewhere for them!

8. Fake plants – I try my best to keep real plants alive, but I end up forgetting. If they made a noise or something to remind me but I forget.

9. IKEA – I used to hate going, but now I feel like it is calling me more than ever! I absolutely adore the place and could probably go bankrupt in there!

10. Offers on lovely loo roll – I am super fussy when it comes to loo roll, but when I find that lovely loo roll is on offer, I’m literally so happy!

What are some of the things you get excited about now you’re an adult? Leave your response in the comments!

I’m only just turning 21 and these are all things I absolutely love! Including knitting and naps!
I feel like at my age it’s meant to be the peak of going out and getting drunk and living the party life, when actually by 10:30pm I’d much rather be reading Harry Potter and snuggling with my cat – on a wild night I may even through in some candles and a glass of wine! :’)
Only stumbled across your blog a couple of days ago but I’m really enjoying it!

YES to Number 10! It is actually ridiculous! Similar to your number 1, but going to bed in fresh, clean sheets. Heaven

Oh I love new bedding! Plus going to bed with fresh sheets is one of best feelings. I also just made a huge trip to IKEA and I want to live in that place…

Oh my gosh I get so excited about buying new bedding, especially if it’s a pretty throw! Whenever I see one when I go shopping, my OH has to hold me back from buying it (oops). I love collecting plants too but the real ones, although I can see the benefits of having fake ones…

Agree with all these haha, may just be a mum thing but I got excited when I got a new hoover haha!! xx

Haha – these are all so true. Especially lint rollers! The amount of lint rollers I go through as a cat owner is ridiculous. I should buy shares or something!!!

Yes Ikea and Loo roll offers is just life. It makes me so happy to see that money off sign. I don’t get why it is so expensive!

I’m loving the fake plants too, got two nice ones from Ikea and also got a bunch of fake tulips. The tulips actually look really real – one of my best ever purchases I think!

Haha, I read this going ‘yes’, ‘yes’, ‘yes’. These are all so true, especially new bedding and cookware – love those! My partner says we have too many cushions though and I keep buying pretty tea towels!
