Learning To Love Instagram

Instagram has got to be one of the most frustrating platforms in the world, especially for a blogger, I have been upping my game so much recently, mainly because it seriously needed some work! I never really had a theme but I have a sort of theme going on now kind of unintentionally. Lately however, I’ve really been enjoying just taking photographs again, it is something that I have always loved to do even when I was younger because capturing that moment and making it last in picture form is one of the greatest feelings!

I have always had a love/hate relationship with it, because you can post a photo gain about 5 followers and in about an hour you end up losing 20. I mean honestly, what the hell? Whyyyy do these people kill me like this all the time? The follow/unfollow game honestly sucks and I actually spoke about it here! Not only that I absolutely adore all the pretty Instagram’s but that doesn’t mean that you need a theme! Just absolutely beautiful photos that reflect the incredible person that you are!

Not only that since they updated the algorithm I mean jeez why did they have to change it? I mean all I want to do is see the photo that was posted last and for it to stay in chronological order. I end up missing so many posts from my favourite people because of this damn thing. I mean seriously it is so ridiculous!

However, I am not just sitting here listing things that pee me off about Instagram, I actually am falling in love with it, mainly because I am discovering so many incredible bloggers who are literally so talented! I am learning a whole new appreciation for how hard people work, because I know how difficult it is but also knowing how hard being a blogger can be sometimes!

I’m falling in love with being able to support all of these amazing bloggers and seeing them blossom into these incredibly creative artists.

I am really liking the fact that Insta-stories is another insight into that persons life, sometimes seeing more about them is one of the greatest things and I feel like I get to know them a lot more! I’m learning to love my feed mainly because it is a feed of food, beauty and everyday me which is an absolute mess in all honesty. It shows me to sheer perfection, a mixture of everything with a loose kinda theme.

What kind of Instagram’s do you follow? You should really follow me though because you can get to know a whole new side of me!

the thought that always comes to my mind, same with blogs or instagram:
if everyone blogs/instagrams (is that a word?), who is left to read/follow?
but you’re right, the old unfollow-game is so incredibly lame.
to make your day a bit brighter, I gave you a good old follow just now 🙂
    have a lovely day, amie.

I’m with you on this. Lately I’ve been making more of an effort to use it regularly, but I find that I’ll gain maybe 10 followers and almost automatically lose 10. It’s so frustrating. The algorithm change is bugging me too because I’m finding that I’m missing things from my favourite accounts and it’s another instance of the popular accounts getting even more popular and it being harder for everyone else.

I totally get what you mean about the love/hate relationship with Insta and the follow/unfollow game definitely sucks. I feel like I’ve subconsciously created a theme after seeing AMAZING accounts that make it look so glamourous! It’s definitely a great way to discover people and I need to up my story game seriouslyyy!

I feel the same way about instagram. I find myself getting such inspiration from it and wanting to create content and take photos for there but at the same time, I feel like my followers don’t interact and most don’t even see what I post! It’s a struggle because I have to remind myself it’s just social media, but as a blogger I feel IG can really help establish you!

I love being inspired by Instagram, it’s a wonderful feeling, however it is so hard to grow at the moment with the algorithm! xxxx
