Be Nicer And Support Each Other

The blogging community is growing everyday and it makes me so happy to see so many people being able to be part of such an incredible thing and not only that it’s a place where I can be constantly inspired and motivated to grow as a person. Blogging has given me so much over the last 2 (almost) years and I can’t thank the community enough, however, there have been some really incredibly difficult things to deal with. There can be a hell of a lot of negativity, I know I have had to deal with a lot mainly because of my size and the fact that I have talked openly about my mental health which is something that a lot of people want people to talk about but what I have found is some people genuinely don’t want to hear how difficult living with mental health can be.

I have had so many amazing opportunities when it comes to my blog but before I started my blog little did I know putting my heart and soul on the internet would result in a lot of online hate. Slightly naïve of me to think that I wouldn’t get hate but do you know what doing this is one of my best things I ever did in my life besides the hate obviously.

Negativity is something that I’ve learned is a part of life, but when it is constant? Is it necessary? There is so much negativity in this world, is it really important to have some serious positivity because in all honesty I think we all need that.

When you see someone trying their hardest, improving, posting a post that is personal and a post that they have put their heart and soul into (which for all of us is every single one) give them a like, read their post, comment, boost their views.

Do you see someone who is struggling or maybe has been targeted by trolls? Support them, be nice to them, no one deserves such horrid things to happen and when they do a support system is always just as important. I know from experience, everything is better when you have people around you who love you and care about what happens to you.

Just because you are supporting others doesn’t mean that you’re doing yourself any harm, be proud that someone is doing an absolutely incredible job!

Never forget to smile, when someone is having a bad day or they think that they have been forgotten about by the world, you can usually see it in their eyes, give them a smile, you never know when you could make someone’s day even better. Remember every cloud has a silver lining.

Don’t ever judge someone, you never know what story is behind that smile. We all have one, and just because we don’t wear the words of the story on our face doesn’t mean we don’t have one to share. Never judge.

Beautiful post, thank you for reminding me that everyone has their own shit to deal with.

Sometimes I feel a bit left out of the blogging community, I see the same bloggers getting all the support, and then some of us don’t really get any and are kinda left out in the cold, so to speak. Honestly, I find it a bit cliquey, and I don’t want to come across as stalkerish while just trying to make friends or offer support haha!

That’s exactly how I feel! xxx

I have noticed the same. When I first joined the different twitter chats in 2015 (I think), people were so including, tagged you in FFs and shared your posts. Nowadays I’ve noticed you either have to be in the clique (which I’m not as I dropped blogging and social media last year as it was a tough one), or you have to pay people for it.

I’m also a bit surprised by the lack of support on other platforms, like Facebook and Instagram. I go through blogger hashtags everyday, and I have noticed people don’t get a lot of traffic from there.

It doesn’t take much effort to support others. Like instagram posts when you’re commuting, share a post you like, follow people and so on.

It is so important to remember that everyone has their own story. Let 2017 be the year we all remember to lift each other up x

I’m all for someone talking about mental health – in fact it’s people like you that made me feel confident enough to talk about my own struggles!
