And it is the final advertiser of the month for you lucky devils to get to know. Justine is one of the first bloggers I actually followed when I started because I fell in love with her content! She is one of the most honest, kind and caring ladies ever with such beautiful content, so are you ready to get to know this fabulous lady? Let’s go!
1. What was the reason you started your blog/business?
I may as well be completely honest. I started my blog partly because I needed a platform from which to launch my writing career but also because I dreamed of being the next Zoella! I know I know people will be rolling their eyes but hasn’t every blogger secretly yearned for success like hers?
2. What have you learned through your blogging/business journey?
I have learned that we all have something to give and that the worst thing we can do is compare ourselves to each other. It’s vital that we stay true to ourselves and write what we’re passionate about not what we think people will want to read because such and such a blogger is doing it that way. I was guilty of trying to conform and got bored of blogging. I think it showed in my writing and my views dropped. Now I’m back just writing posts I enjoy and my views have shot back up plus I’m happier.
3. How would you best describe your blog/business?
I like to think of girlgonedreamer as my happy place. I hope it’s a happy place for those that stop by to read it. My aim is always to share love, joy, positivity, inspiration and motivation. Ok. You can go throw up now. Ha ha!
4. Name something quirky that you can do, that we might not know about you.
I’m not sure if I can do any quirky things to be honest. I can tell you plenty of things that I can’t do though. I can’t swim, ride a bike or roll my tongue! I can sort of knit. I’m trying to improve! I make Christmas crackers every year for friends and family and put a personalised quirky gift in each
5. What was one of your favourite posts to write or create? What about it did you enjoy the most?
I always enjoy writing my more personal posts opposed to reviews etc purely because writing them comes pretty naturally to me. The words tend to flow easily as if my pen is just an extension of me you know? If I was forced to pick a favourite then I’d probably say the one I did about getting over someone. Just because I wrote it from the heart and I found it to be quite a cathartic process. http://www.girlgonedreamer.co.uk/2015/10/how-long-does-it-take-to-get-over.html?m=1 …
6. Why should someone come and visit your blog/shop/business?
I would love for people to get something from my blog whether that be inspiration, hope or even if it just makes them smile. I often get messages from people saying how they relate to certain topics I’ve written about and how I’ve helped them. And I guess that for me has become why I love blogging and why I would love for people to visit GGD. Yes it may have started off as my ‘platform’ for my writing career but it has unintentionally become so much more than that. I always describe myself as a friend to everyone and I think (or hope) in a way that’s what GGD has become too. An online friend to all!
