Creating The Perfect Dining Room Mood Board*

Dining Room Mood Board

A dining room is where so much can happen with a family, it is a to me the heart of the home! It’s also that time of year where it is perfect to start sprucing up your home in time for that Christmas. Yes I did just say that word, but before you know it Christmas will be here and we will be pulling Christmas crackers & celebrating the new year. Not only that there are so many incredible accessories and pieces of furniture on right at your finger tips. Want to find out more about how I went about choosing these gorgeous pieces? Get a cup of tea and relax!

Metallic’s are everywhere right now, you can’t physically turn without finding something metallic for your home, so I thought why not embrace it? The fabulous thing about a metallic theme is if you have quite a low light room it can help to reflect the much needed light in your gorgeous new room.

I went for more muted and neutral tones because I think when you’re in a dining room you want it to be fresh, inviting, relaxing and comfortable and I think you can definitely get that with this look.

What I also wanted to do with this is make sure that it was functional, so even though we have the muted tones with the pops of colour from things like the mirror, flowers, lights and other accessories you want to make sure that people won’t be scared to use it because white is known for picking up marks etc. I feel with this you wouldn’t have to worry at all! You would be perfectly fine with this, especially the table as it is solid oak and will last you a very long time!

Now overhauling your home can be quite expensive, so I have looked around for things that are value for money but also good on your bank balance. The most expensive piece is the dining room table with the chairs, now it might seem like a huge expense however, it is one that will definitely be worth it. For the quality of the product that you’re getting, not only that it will last you a very long time it is most definitely worth it.

With these other pieces they tend to range from around £5 up to £40 which for a new dining room of fantastic quality is an absolute bargain if I do say so myself. Fancy buying your own pieces? Then here is all the details you need to know.

I love this look, I can imagine that you could add some extra touches each season to make it really festive and it would still look amazing. I particularly love the mirror and vase, and that chalkboard would be handy!

I love the mirror too! I think all of them as a whole work well, and even if you don’t want all of the pieces, they can work well in a variety of different homes now! 🙂 <3
