You Are Not Alone

You are not alone

Recently I have been feeling the pressure of blogging and what is expected as a blogger, sometimes it can be incredibly difficult to just keep going and keep up the momentum of all of the weekly blog posts, staying inspired but also making sure that I keep up with everything that is going on in the blogging world. Sometimes it can be tough because I think there is so much expectation set for you by bigger bloggers, for example the perfect photography, stats can be a huge thing but also so much pressure to work with brands, it is definitely something I understand all too well!

I know that one of my biggest problems is the fact that I put a lot of pressure on myself personally, I mean if it isn’t perfect then I get very very annoyed with myself because I expect nothing but perfection. I decided that by writing this post because I want people to understand that they’re not alone when it comes to blog posts, being present on social media but also making sure that my content is something people would want to read.

To my blogging friends,

Sometimes we need a break from our blogs, it is only natural, we all feel like we need to improve, we all feel that pressure when we are slipping into the background of the blogging world but the truth is we aren’t. Sometimes we might not post as much as we might want to, and in truth that is okay, we all have lives outside of the blogging world and sometimes it just genuinely isn’t possible to be able to post all of the time, your blog should be your hobby, you should enjoy it!

There can sometimes be pressure to be perfect, I know that I feel like I need to be perfect all of the time and that I need to make sure that my photographs don’t have to many shadows in them, that they are light and bright and that it is perfect but it’s okay, we were all learning at some point, we were all beginners, never be afraid to be a beginner.

There might be times when you are uninspired and that is okay because in all honesty you’re not always going to be able to think of posts to write about, I know that for a fact, sometimes I don’t always want to write. However I do have some drafts, so I have some back ups in place just in case!

Social media can be difficult to manage (struggling with it? Then here is a post for you!) so sometimes you might think that you need to be online all of the time, interacting with other people but also you feel pressure to make sure you’re on all of the time but in all honesty it’s not physically possible! You be online when you want to be, don’t let it rule your life!

It’s okay my darlings, you’ve got this, you’re not alone!

Love Amie 2016

I know that feeling, sometimes you just need to take a step back and take some time for you. Honestly it is just so important that you remember that it’s going to be okay and there are people who support you. ?

Well said! Especially about being online all the time.
For me blogging is a hobby, but also a challenge. Of course I want more people to read what I have to say, but I haven’t been getting very far (stats-wise) and it’s been really bugging me at times. And yeah, you can’t be online all the time, right? Because you want to experience the real world so you can write about that.
If you feel weighed down or out of touch, take a break, reconnect, come back better and stronger and we’ll be here to read all about it ❤️

When it comes to stats it honestly takes time, just don’t give up! Take it one day at a time, make sure that you promote your blog posts, talk to people within the community, you can do this!?

I can relate to so much that you have spoken about in this blog post Amie,
I am too such a perfectionist whatever I do in life I expect it to be perfect and if it’s not I give myself the hardest time.
I haven’t been as active on social media lately and I’ve not posted as frequently on my blog just because I have needed a little break and I don’t think there is any harm in that it’s good to gather your thoughts and think about the content you would like to post.

We all need a break sometimes, it is natural! Sometimes blogging can consume a lot of our lives and we just need some time out for us. Don’t worry, we will all be here for you when you come back, and I am always here for you no matter what my darling! <3

I started blogging in January, but I’m yet to really struggle with my blog. I love creating content and because I’m working from home, I have plenty of time to take photographs, write and comment on other websites. I know it’s inevitable however, that I will eventually need a break but right now – I’m just going with the flow x
