30 Things I’ve Learned About Life

30 things I've learned about life

So recently I’ve been working really hard and over the last few years I have definitely learned a hell of a lot, which I think is incredibly important in my life, and the fabulous thing is, I’m always learning, and life is just one hell of a roller coaster. There are so may life lessons that we learn through our journey and not only that we all learn different things at different points in our life, so I thought it would be wonderful to talk about all of the things that I have learned about life in general! Let’s see if you agree too!

  1. It’s hard. Life is just one of the most difficult things in the world. The work balance, the life balance, juggling everything in the world.
  2. People, sometimes you get some genuinely horrid people but you’re still an incredible person who has so much love to give.
  3. You don’t need to compare yourself to others. Comparisons are never needed, and you should never feel like you’re of less worth than to someone else.
  4. Don’t feel the need to compete with others, we’re all working hard, we’re all in this together, and you’re on your own track, work together, don’t compete.
  5. Work hard, when you want to achieve your dreams, then you need to work really hard, but it’s important to take time for yourself and chill. Work hard, play hard.
  6. Push yourself, with mental health I have found that sometimes I need to challenge the feelings that I am having, if I hadn’t tried to work on my feelings with my anxiety then I would never have been able to walk out the house on my own.
  7. Always tell your family and friends that you love them, appreciating the family and friends that you have is always important.
  8. You don’t need toxic people, toxic people are the worst, genuinely, your life doesn’t need any of that.
  9. Follow your dreams, dreams are incredible and it keeps you reaching for everything you want in life. Dreams can come true, work hard and believe in yourself.
  10. Life is what you make it, if you put hard work in then you will reap the rewards.
  11. Don’t waste your time worrying about things you can’t change, it’s time to move on, focus on making your future bright.
  12. It’s okay to cry, showing your emotions is never a sign of weakness I mean if it was then I would be the weakest person in the world.
  13. Be grateful for everything you have, sometimes you don’t have everything in the world and that is okay, but it’s about who you have in your life rather than what you have.
  14. Strive to be a better person everyday, I always try to better myself everyday, whether it is my writing, my workouts, my compassion, anything and everything!
  15. Remind yourself of your goals, if you want to achieve your goals then set yourself small goals every week to achieve everything that you want.
  16. Family and relationships are important, remember to keep those relationships going, you need to make time for everyone.
  17. Forgiveness is such an amazing strength, when someone does something wrong, they apologise, and forgive them, because being resentful is definitely not something you need.
  18. Always be open to learning, knowledge is power and there is nothing better than learning new things!
  19. Have patience, remember Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it all takes time to build things up. You’ve got this, and you can do it.
  20. Don’t forget to give something back, life is about give and take, giving back to the world is so important.
  21. Do what makes you happy, don’t let others get in the way of your happiness.
  22. Money can’t buy your happiness ever, yes it helps with living, but money can’t automatically give you happiness.
  23. Friendships sometimes come and go, but the right friendships never fade away.
  24. Never be afraid to grow as a person, personal growth is incredible.
  25. Not everyone has to like you, you’re a fabulous person if someone doesn’t like you, it’s their loss!
  26. Own your choices, we make choices depending on what is going on in our lives, and at the time it was the right choice for us.
  27. Find your passions in your life and your strengths, because we all have them, it’s about finding what works for you.
  28. Go with your gut feelings, your gut knows you and what is going on.
  29. Never be afraid to try something new, new things are everything in life.
  30. Don’t strive for perfection, strive for progress.

I loved this! I live by the saying “Life is what you make of it” but I also always tell myself that “everything happens for a reason”. They are two very contradicting statements but sometimes it makes sense together. In certain situations.
As for the thing about not comparing yourself, it’s the hardest thing for me to stop doing. I feel like if I’m not putting myself down (and I see that as being realistic) there will be other to point out my flaws. Therefore I need to be aware of them. It’s a big fat mess!
    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much darling! I think sometimes they do kind of go together if that makes sense. Life is what you make it but you also need to remember that everything you do happens for a reason and the outcome.
I totally agree, I struggle with comparing myself but I am working on trying to stop comparing myself and moving forward with my life because I deserve the best!💜

This is such a lovely post. “Own your choices, we make choices depending on what is going on in our lives, and at the time it was the right choice for us” really resonates with me at the moment.

I totally agree with that, it is really difficult for people though because we might be struggling through certain things & we might have to live with those consequences, good or bad they help mould us as a person💜

Yes, I agree with all of these! The friendship part stood out to me because I really had to learn how to let go of people the hard way.
I love your writing and I am definitely going to follow your blog! 🙂
