Saturday was one of the most hilarious days out ever, there was an amazing bloggers meet in Canterbury! I’ve never met any of the fabulous bloggers that were there on Saturday, which in itself for me, is such a big thing because of my anxiety and agoraphobia is huge. However, I walked all the way to my local train station, without my husband or anyone with me, and met up with the gorgeous Amanda! It was just a casual meet up in Canterbury which honestly one of the best things about it, because we are able to just hang out, enjoy talking to each other and getting to know one another!
Amanda and I were actually early to the meet up, which was fabulous, and we just took a walk around Canterbury for a little while and went down to the Great Stour river which was just down from the bar that we were going to! It literally started to feel like summer, finally (even though some people have had snow, I’m so sorry!) the tulips were out and people were having boat rides down the river! It was just so beautiful and so relaxing!
We all went to the amazing Lady Luck Bar in Canterbury, and they do some of the most amazing food, cocktails and an amazing atmosphere there too! It has to be one of the most fantastic places I’ve been in a long time. The food there was delicious and it is vegan friendly (can I get a woop!) and there is so much to choose from! I had a delicious bean burger, and it was so bloody good! One of the best bean burgers I’ve had in a while to be honest!
After having a lot of good food and the biggest laugh ever, we took a wander around the beautiful city to actually look for a masquerade mask for Becca (which we didn’t find – don’t forget to look on Ebay Becca) we found some amazing little shops, shops that even I haven’t seen before! Found a guy taking some amazing selfies, I mean he had that pout down to a fine art, in the window of Hotel Chocolat, I have to admit even I was a little jealous of his pouting!
We were so lucky we had the most beautiful day for it, the sun was shining, and I had some of the best company ever! I feel like I have hit a major milestone in my mental health, I had no panic attacks, not anxiety and even my agoraphobia was good, which shows how much I am improving and moving forward with my mental health! I am so looking forward to having more times out with these fabulous people and not only that, being able to go out places more often without feeling like I am bothering people!
Thank you so much to Amanda, Becca, Lu, Stewart & Bex, Harry for an amazing meet, it was one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever been to, so excited for the next one!
