Life is so busy isn’t it, and we are under so much stress and pressure during our days at work that we completely forget to smile! I know that when I’m ridiculously busy and stressed out, I completely forget about cheering myself up and feeling better about everything.There are so many things that make me smile, and a lot of things that I feel eternally grateful for, so What are some of the things that make me happy?
1. Lay Ins
The best feeling in the world is when you don’t have to get up early, there is no alarm in the morning, and you can just chill out in bed. If it’s cold the last thing you want to do is get out of a nice warm bed, and the best thing about it for me is when I can roll over and see my husband and he gives me the biggest cuddle ever.
2. The Sunshine
I know this sounds so strange, however when you wake up in the morning, the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day, doesn’t that make you smile a lot more than it would if it is was cloudy or pouring with rain? Think of all of the blog photos you could take if it was sunny? It’s everyone’s dream right or is that just me?
3. Spending Time With Loved Ones
When you have people around you that you love everything seems so much better, you get to spend times with the one you love you smile a lot more, you are more positive and you feel so loved. I am so lucky to have so many amazing people around me who raise me up when I am down, who appreciate everything and who love me unconditionally. Life is most definitely beautiful.
4. Beach Nights
I love going to the beach, and in the summer there is nothing better than a walk along the beach while the sun is going down, feeling the sand between your toes, feeling the warm summer breeze coming off the sea, it’s so beautiful!
5. Speak To Your Best Friend
I have to admit, speaking to my best friends is one of the easiest ways to make me smile! They always know the right thing to say, but also they always come out with the best lines to make you forget everything that is going on!
6. Eat Some Of Your Favourite Foods
When things aren’t their best, eating your favourite foods literally make you smile from the inside out. I know when I’m not feeling too positive, I love to eat chocolate & strawberries (well at least there is some fruit in there right?) my tummy then smiles and so do I!
Baking is the perfect thing to do all year round, however, when you’re in need of smiling, try to bake some in some funny shapes then with the people around you, get them to try and guess what shapes they are! You will end up having good fun with the responses they come up with!
8. Go Pinning Mad
Obsessed with Pinterest? Well of course you are. Set aside some time to just go pinning mad and enjoy it! Don’t think oh I could be doing something else, just do something fun especially for you! I’m still trying to get into Pinterest!
9. Look Back At Old Photos
I love looking back at old photos, especially ones from my Nan and Grandad. Recently they bought out loads of old photos from when my Grandad was a child, and even bought out a wedding photo from when they got married 61 years ago. It makes me smile so much and I get to see who I look like in my family!
10. Take Silly Photos
I love taking silly photos with my husband, family and friends, they make me smile so much and not only that, I can look back on those photos and see the incredible times we had together and the memories that we made together.
